I have a coworker that sends me emails all the time. Some of them I actually enjoy, and some I do not. This is the one I received today:
Pure facts: Who is Barack Obama? Probable U. S.presidential candidate, Barack Hussein Obama was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Barack Hussein Obama, Sr., a Black Muslim from Nyangoma-Kogel, Kenya and Ann Dunham, a white ATHIEST from Wichita,Kansas. Obama's parents met at the University of Hawaii. When Obama was two years old, his parents divorced. His father returned to Kenya. His mother then married Lolo Soetoro, a RADICAL Muslim From Indonesia. When Obama was 6 years old, the family relocated to Indonesia. Obama attended a MUSLIM school in Jakarta. He also spent two years in a Catholic school Obama takes great care to conceal the fact that he is a Muslim. He Is quick to point out that, "He was once a Muslim, but that he also attended Catholic school." Obama's political handlers are attempting to make it appear that Obama's introduction to Islam came via his father, and that this influence was temporary at best. In reality, the senior Obama returned to Kenya soon after the divorce, and never again had any direct influence over his son's education. Lolo Soetoro, the second husband of Obama's mother,Ann Dunham, introduced his stepson to Islam. Obama was enrolled in a Wahabi school in Jakarta. Wahabism is the RADICAL teaching that is followed by the Muslim terrorists who are now waging Jihad against the western world. Since it is politically expedient to be a CHRISTIAN when seeking Major public office in the United States, Barack Hussein Obama has joined the United Church of Christ in an attempt to downplay his Muslim background. Let us all remain alert concerning Obama's expected presidential candidacy. The Muslims have said they plan on destroying the US from the inside out, what better way to start than at the highest level? Please forward to everyone you know.
Now, how should I handle this? I am not Christian, as she states she is (but doesn't ACT like one), and we don't hold the same values AT ALL. Should I email her back???

i hate political chain letters. my dad used to find every single anti-democrat/liberal chain letter there was and send it to me until I blocked his email address.
This is just what's wrong with the majority of the world today. I don't know if the info in that email is true or not, but in all reality I don't care. So what if Obama used to be a Muslim? Diversity in the office is something the US needs I think. The letter also seems to focus on the fact that his last name was once Hussein. I don't know if they're trying to insinuate that everyone with the last name Hussein is an evil dictator, but seriously. If a coworker ever sent me that email I think I'd walk up to them with a fresh pot of coffee and say "My middle name is Hussein" and then dump the nice hot coffee all over their lap.
Beware of the defensive mind. Often , people who participate in forwarding propaganda really don't care about the content--that's why they let it be someone else's. They are more concerned with the acceptance they hope to gain, similar to the white guy syndrome of telling racist jokes just to be accepted.
Be careful, as the coworker may knee jerkedly become defensive at your lack of acceptance. And then, depending on how unstable this person is, it could be ON. Calls to mind our old friend CR. Do YOU really wanna become jason ?
I'd say do one of two things. Ignore it and hope the coworker either forgets or figures out that you are giving him/her a shot at grace. Or flat out call them a racist. There is nothing wrong with being a Muslim. Only with spreading fear ! good luck

I'm not so sure this person would even talk about this with me...she just likes to send emails hoping to win me over and convert me to Christianity. She knows I'm not and I bet it kills her.
I once overheard her say that she hopes the gay man in another department will learn from his massive heart attack and change his life. That is very Christian, indeed.
As for the sugar in the tank....oh noes! Better keep an eye out! Haha!
LMAO - before reading all the responses I went to snopes. Anytime I get a political email or unbelievable story - I go to snopes and check it out before I forward anything.
oh noes! use bleach and draino in a film canister instead... /duck and run
On the actual topic.. Whenever I recieve an e-mail such as this, I open up that particular user on my mail server and reduce their mailbox size. When they complain because their box is full I take a look at their mailbox with them and point out all the bullsh!t similar to this.

Ahhhh yes the ol' cubedust..The problem is, she can leave her desk for a moment and come back the same pompous close minded arse. For this person, I think something more serious is needed.

lol! i like this part : And when someone does locate the Annoy-a-tron, they're really not going to know what it is - which is almost as much fun as watching them search for it. Muahaha.

Is it really annoying if you know where it's coming from though? Personally I would get great satisfaction out of lying and saying I didn't hear it while they drove themselves nuts

Just because I immediately purchased 2 of them before I even had time to laugh doesn't mean I'm up to no good. It means I work with annoying people who deserve to be annoyed ;D

so where's a great place to hide these where they'll never find it? I'm thinking since I am getting two i'm gonna set one to the low settings and the other at a higher one so not only will the beeps be at wild time intervals they'll also be at different volumes. Oh gosh my coworkers will hate their lives at work
