LOS ANGELES - Nicole Richie was released from jail Thursday after serving 82 minutes of a four-day sentence for driving under the influence of drugs.
The reality show star, who checked into a women's jail at 3:15 p.m., was released at 4:37 p.m. "based on her sentence and federal guidelines," Los Angeles County Sheriff's Deputy Maribel Rizo said without elaborating.
part of my job involves reviewing sentences under the federal guidelines, and I've never run across a guidelines sentence of 82 minutes!
Eff this day. I am having a real bad day, and i dont even know why. I am super pissed at everything and i have no clue why. I want to go home, but they cant let me. Eff today
Within the first 30 seconds of walking into my office building, I heard "get 'r done" three times. THREE TIMES IN THIRTY SECONDS.
wtf?
You guys make me so glad that I have an office where I can shut the door and not have to interact with my coworkers! I often don't even see anybody when I first come in (except the guard downstairs, and he just says good morning). I think if I had to hear "Get 'r done" first thing in the morning, I would probably end up killing someone.

I'm so envious of your office!!!
The thing that killed me was right after the first "get 'r done" the lady said, "It's gonna be a GREAT day." I can't type what I was thinking when she said that because it was awful. ;D
I just called Meals on Wheels to see if my Mom could get a free meal (she just got out of the hospital because she forgets to eat and I live 3 hours away) and due to budget cuts they have a 1 year waiting list.
What really pissing me off during this elections season is all the talk about the need for more tax cuts. The Dem Nashville mayor candidate and all the Reps in the Prez election and most Dems are talking about this. STOP IT!
We are in a budget CRISIS and the dollar is collapsing. Enough of busting the budget and screwing our children and the poor. We need to repeal the Bush tax cuts on corporations and individuals making over $250,000 a year, not more tax cuts for the rich.
BTW- Git R Done drives me crazy too

^^^ Hmmmm..... sounds a lot like PMS. Sorry you're having a bad day. Go get a beer or three at the Deer Park later.
Sounds like you know your way around Newark . . . . .
Ahhhh.....Yeah...... ... U of D '99. Killed many brain cells at the good ol' Beer Park Tavern. Loved that place. I heard it's been sold and renovated. I hope they didn't screw it up too much. The dirty hole in the wall beer swill on the floor asthetic was part of it's charm. ;D They used to have really good bands play there too. I remember seeing the Disco Biscuits, Brothers Past, and The Recipe there for a couple of bucks at the door.
No biggie, I had just posted in the pet peeves thread about how the 69 karma was starting to bug me because i couldn't give it when I wanted or people would take it away. I just love my chefchick, wanted to express it.

We all love our Chefchick! I wasn't really going to smite her, the idea alone verges on horrifying
and I completely agree with you... (bedroom connotations aside) 69 is just such a tempting and wonderful number with its beautiful symmetry, the yin/yang of all numbers so to speak--- but on this board the only one it truly belongs to is our friend Strumm who's actual karma is more like 69 to the 69th power

Deer Park is still there, though renovated, i dont think its too different, but in 99 i was graduating HS. The stone balloon is gone, and i mean GONE. Main street has gone through some changes since 99. The spot to be is home grown cafe. Both them, and East end have $2 PBR's big cans nightly . . . . mmmm.
I have a witch hunt going on in my office... Not a happy time. Worst vibe ever... At this point I almost wouldn't mind being burned at the stake just to get out of here... yuck, yuck, yuck.

$%^&^&%$% Comcast!!! Grrrrr...........
My internet service has been out all day. It came on for a bit this afternoon, but was painfully slow. Then it went out for a few more hours. At least the cable still worked.
At my old house, we had Verizon fiber internet, and it never went down. We had Comcast TV, they overcharged for it, and it was ok but cruddy sometimes. We switched to Fios TV and it never went down or got cruddy.
At my new place the only net/tv option is Comcast. the internet is painfully slow, and the TV sound cuts out all the time(usually during a punchline or important story point).
