I think I have sciatica. I've had the worst right leg, foot, and toe pain of my entire life the last 10-11 days and peripheral neuropathy. Blood work and vitals have all been perfect, minus maybe a slight fever for a few nights. Sensitivity to hot and cold and pain all seems altered. Really noticed the foot pain during the Smile and it gets terrible when I'm sitting, which I do for a living. Have a history with abusing medications in my teens that might have fucked up my nerves permanently but never got an answer from the docs on that one. Thought I was going nuts from some of the symptoms. I think with blood work and a visit to urgent care, the ER, and the PCP over the last week we've ruled out diabetes, blood clots, cancer, Lyme Disease, thyroid issues, b12 deficiency, COVID and the flu, and some other shit. Have still yet to get an x-ray or an MRI at all. Very uncomfortable being in this much pain this long. Radiohead is helping today. Would love for any of you smart people to help me with this. Been in a few severe car accidents over my life and sit on a wallet all day (which I've stopped), healthy weight/BMI, went up in weights (I lift weights 3x a week at home, like dumbbells) in April, which I think right now is the most likely culprit. The lack of sleep and an answer has been making me crazy. I'm leaning toward a herniated disc pushing on a nerve. Thanks for having a thread where I can rant about this. It's definitely putting a damper on the last day of work and the joy of resigning.

I went to urgent care a few years ago with back pain that they said was sciatica. Mine was mostly in my back with only a little bit in my leg, but I think it’s more common for there to be more in the leg than I had. They gave me a cortisone shot in my butt and some muscle relaxers, which I mainly just took a few times at night when I was trying to go to sleep. I had had the back pain for months before I went to the doctor, but it cleared up pretty quick after that. My situation is probably not particularly helpful though. I’m pretty sure mine was caused by a combination of being very stressed and very overweight. Lifestyle changes like more movement and dropping some weight were huge for me, but since you’re already a healthy weight and lifting a few times a week, those are not helpful pieces of advice for your situation.
Surely your doctor has suggested this, but there are specific stretches you can do that are supposed to be helpful for sciatica. And if you are able to take walks, even if they’re short, I think that can also help.

Thank you! Yeah, some of stretches and laying on the floor has helped.

I’ve had the herniated disc. And an annular tear. An MRI confirmed. Over exercise and not watching the signs. Plus it’s hereditary. Symptoms were unbearable pain that started in the back and shot down my left butt, leg, and foot. Sitting made it worse. They gave me pain pills and PT. Both useless. I had to stop exercising and did neuromuscular therapy. And made some lifestyle changes. DO NOT LET THEM OPERATE. It can heal on its own. It just takes time.

Dropped Murray off at the vet this morning. He peed in his bed overnight, which he never does, and he was super lethargic this morning. Usually, he comes in and barks really big for a treat after we take them outside, but he wouldn’t even take the test when I tried to give it to him.

Keeping Murray and you guys in my thoughts today. Hoping everything is okay.

Thanks y’all. We just heard from the vet. Apparently, he’s having an issue with his gallbladder but she said it’s not sludgy and she’s not really sure exactly what the deal is. She wants to put him on a antibiotic and keep him on IV fluids for a couple of days, so we’re going to take him to the emergency vet because there’s nobody with them overnight at our vet and she can’t be sure that he won’t have any issues overnight. This really sucks.

Pulling for him and his gallbladder to feel better and get back home soon <3
So last Friday, my friend and fellow Veloteer rider was hit by a car that failed to yield. She was thrown from her bike and killed instantly. She was 23 years old. You could not meet a more beautiful soul. Always happy. She was a very fast rider, but she would always slow down to chat. My heart is breaking for her family.
We are having a ride in her memory tonight. 64 of us so far. Her father will be there.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I wish lawmakers would protect cyclists more effectively - the fatalities are almost always preventable. I hope that driver sees time.
We had a police escort. All the cars stopped for us coming from the other direction. It was at sunset and the sun was a beautiful fiery red. All our bikes had flashing lights and we wore black armbands on our jerseys. Her spirt rode with us.
Someone hacked my Facebook over the weekend and I haven’t been able to get it back. I reported it every way I know how but heard anything back. Anyone have any experience with this? Any ideas what I can do? I started a new one but i’d rather have the one I’ve had for 15 years or whatever.

Did you have two step authentication set up? If not, do it now. And does FB have your current and correct email to contact you?

Sadly, there's a real possibility you won't get it back. I've had a few friends that got hacked and even after the verification process (have your drivers license ready) and they still denied the claim.
I wish you luck and hope you get it back though. It truly sucks.

I didn’t. They changed the email to go my email and to one they set up. They changed the phone number. I can’t do anything.
Yea it’s weird. I’m still getting emails (that I never got before) about check out these posts you missed! or whatever. Fuck Facebook though. They have been absolutely no help.

You may have to call. I do remember that a few of my friends had to just to talk to someone. Now where you do that,I have no clue.

I haven’t found a way to talk to an actual person.

Hello,
With all due respect, I want you to read my letter with one mind and help me. I am Miss Caroline Freund, The only daughter of late Mr. and Mrs. Freund, My Late father was a very wealthy cocoa dealer in Abidjan Côte d'Ivoire. before he was poisoned to death by his business associates on one of their outing to discuss on a business deal.
When my mother died when she was given birth to me, my father took me so special because I am motherless. Before the death of my late father on 22nd June 2013 in a private hospital here in Abidjan Côte d'Ivoire. He secretly called me on his bedside and told me that he has a sum of $7.5M (Seven Million five Hundred Thousand Dollars) left in a suspense account in a local bank here in Abidjan Côte d'Ivoire, that he used my name as his only daughter for the next of kin in deposit of the fund.
