Now for my Grrrrr. I've decided I hate winter from the very depths of my soul! 45 years in Minnesota and I find no purpose for it. Skiing sucks here. 30 mins. to get up the chair lift, 2 seconds to get down. Ice fishing??? Sitting in and fucking box watching a hole in the ice. Snowmobiling, fun until you run up on some guy who hit a tree at 70 miles per hour. Pretty much jello in a helmet. So f'ing cold out your windshield explodes! Oh, and slipping on ice and breaking your tail bone, now that's a good time. Why don't I move your asking yourselves? Ex wife and my kids and she has the right to see them every other weekend. THANK GOD FOR ALCOHOL!!!! Oh, one more thing, when is this global warming thing suppose to kick in??? Any fucking time now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like you should move to TN friend. I know several WI ex-pats who love it down here (though they complain about the heat). I've been in the Twin Cities for winter, but I think I would prefer the Deep South for the summer any day...

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm thinking when the time comes I may move to the north west. Washington state area maybe? I don't mind the snow and some cool temps. It's just the double digit below zero stuff. If it's cold enough to kill you. that's just wrong. I think will be getting our injection of heat this year with a trip back to the farm. Praying for a great lineup! If we do go, I'm making brunch this year to meet everyone. Hope to see you there.

I am quite an even keel. However this morning, over the telephone, I let a string of obscenities loose on my ex-husband that is no doubt still floating over our fair city. Why oh why does it have to be so hard not to want to strangle him?
^I feel your pain! Parenting is the major issue with most students these days. Parental involvement is a foreign concept.
it is craziness! i guess i am just so blown away by things i believe to be basic common sense (no matter what kind of background you come from). like, if you don't have money for rent, why the fcuk are you buying your kid a nintendo DS. or that keeping money that isn't your's is stealing.
half of my days are spent giving guidence on things i basically have no experience on (i.e. mom won't wake up b/c she took too many pills, or we just got evicted from our apt b/c my mom/her abusive bf won't get a job).

My GRRRRRRRRRRR moment happened last week when my Vikings GAVE away a football game and a chance to go to the Super Bowl!!!! been a fan since 1978 (I was 4) and still waiting for them to get back!!!! (Last time there was 77 Blah!!!)
and it sucks even more now that the Super Bore game was terrible!!!!!!!!! We had 5 fumbles, 3 int's played the Saints at their home and only lost by 3...in OT. Peyton Womanning is terrible!!!!

Complete and udder devastation. My employer just denied my time-off request for Bonnaroo...THAT I SUBMITTED IN NOVEMBER. I am really trying not to cry.
We are on a hiring freeze and my assistant left for grad school this fall. We can't replace her this fiscal year and we are planning four concurrent conferences that are held the week after Bonnaroo. Last year, I got all my conference planning stuff done early and left the last-minute registration issues in my assistant's capable hands. This year, there's no one to fall back on.

One of my neighbors has taken to cooking something for dinner that smells like ASS. What the heck! The smell clings in the air for hours, HOURS, every night. What could it possibly be?!
The worst part is, after weeks it still seems I never get used to it... each inhalation is as stanky as the last.

Apparently my email was also hacked and the hacker tried the same thing....."Oh, I'm in London and in trouble, I got mugged, and lost my cell phone, send me money" I can't believe someone would waste their time trying to scam people like that. Who would fall for that? Now my Facebook account has been suspended. There is no way that I'm going to go through the process of setting all of that back up.

I just bought Fear and Loathing on e-bay about 3 or 4 days ago. I got it in last night and I was Soooo excited b/c I hadn't seen it in a while and was really looking forward to watching it after dinner. Well.....
IT WAS A MOTHER SMURFIN HD DVD!!! DAM*IT!! I DONT HAVE A MOTHER HUMPIN HD DVD PLAYER.... AND I JUST FOUND OUT IT WON'T PLAY ON THE PS3 EITHER!!!
I guess I should have paid better attention to the product description. Today when I went back and looked it plainly said right by the name of the dvd that it was for HD DVD players only. I was just so excited b/c I was gettin it for $7.00 that I didn't even notice. I think the reason those HD DVDs are so cheap is b/c no freakin body has a freakin HD DVD player.
So if anyone on here reads this and actually has a HD DVD player, PM me and I will send u the movie for free. b/c wtf am I gonna do with a movie that i cant even SMURFIN play!!!
I am MAD.......GRRRRRR. My stupid city had a cool band here last night and did not a damn thing to promote it so I had no clue until today that they were here.
I have never actually heard the band but Adrian Grenier is in it. The Honey Brothers. I am assuming they rock but even if they don't......it is Vinne Quacking Chase from Entourage!! He could sit on the stage singing the theme song to Barney the purple dinosaur and I'd dig it.
PLUS....he is on my "list".....and YES, I am 8 months pregnant but who knows...he just might have a pregnant lady fetish and I could have scored with him last night guilt free!!
I am going to find the PR person behind this show and give them a swift kick in the @$$!
Must get used to trackpad.......must not want mouse back.
When you do get used it, Druid, you'll love it. When I first got mine, I used the button under the pad to click things, but then I found that you don't need to use that button much if at all. Now I just tap or double-tap the trackpad for clicking, selecting text for copy-and-paste, and pretty much everything else. Once you get used to the pad, you'll find that it's much better and more responsive than a mouse in just about every situation.
Must get used to trackpad.......must not want mouse back.
It's not so bad once you get used to it, much better than a mouse IMO. But I really prefer a trackball. I've never understood why they aren't more popular.
