The report on how the Iraqi "surge" is going is planned to be out in a month. As such the White House reported yesterday that, though the generals and ambassador were supposed to report, now the White House would actually be writing the report. And they say that they do not intend to allow Gen. Petraeus to speak publicly about the surge and/or the report.
Anyone see where this is going? Notice the in depth coverage of this by the "liberal media?"

I feel like I can write the report for them and still say what it's going to say
"We are continuously making forward progress in the efforts in Iraq. Each day we come that much closer to achieving our goal, and one day we will be able to look back and say "VICTORY!" "

Why leave the task of interpreting facts to the people most qualified to do so when you can have an uniformed talking head spin it to match the administration's goals? Hey, it worked for global warming...
John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it

White House spokesman Gordon Johndroe said Petraeus and Crocker will testify publicly and privately to the U.S. Congress just prior to the release of their report, which will actually be written by White House officials.
