^^^^I agree - I always see all these cute costumes for kids at Halloween - ya know the lions, teddy bears, etc. - those thick fur like tings - my children will never get to wear them - they go as Belly Dancers and Cheerleaders because the costumes are skimpier
Saw the weather yesterday and they said we've had 16 days (out of 25) over 100 degrees this month and every day has been over 90. Only 1 day under 95 and we've broken 6 record highs this month including the all time high in M'boro (108). BRING ON WINTER!
But thank God it was relatively cool for Bonnaroo this year.
^^^again - I agree - it has been the same way here - I am ready for winter (such as it is in the South) Our highs this week are only supposed to be in the lower to mid-90's and they have forecast rain for the last part of the week
And just to b#tch a little, I've spent the last 2 1/2 weeks renovating my Mom's house while she's been in the hospital. We tore up the carpets and put in all new floors and sub-floors, new plumbing, repainted, new cabinets and furniture. And all with no air conditioning.

I Hate this heat!
My air conditioning broke yesterday and I was complaining about just sitting still and sweating. I can't even imagine doing all that work with no AC..... Hopefully mine will be fixed soon, trying to sleep when your house is 90 degrees inside is not pleasant.

The sun is all here in the southeast. Right now, I'd pretty much give my left pinky toe for cloudy and cold! We have extremely bright and EXTREMELY HOT (as in, 103 in the shade) and extremely muggy!
Wanna trade?
Amen to that! Icky, icky, icky. Well, except for the evenings, they've been gorgeous the past few days
We actually got a pretty good thunderstorm yesterday afternoon. It was short (probably less than half an hour), but it was strong! (As a side note, we were out eating lunch when it started. The winds were so strong that it blew one of the umbrellas off of a table. A woman got hit in the head with it. It looked like it hurt pretty bad. We just saw it through the window, but she looked like she was actually being really cool about it.)
The rain helped a lot though. I'm sure it will be warmer when I get out of work, but when I was walking to the train station this morning, it was really nice. Very breezy.
We had rain here yesterday. It cooled things off a little. They're calling for a high of 88, if we don't hit 90 it'll be the first time in 4 weeks. A new record for consecutive days over 90.
