Not one of my faves, but I wouldn't put it on my "hate" list...but I can see why some people would... It's definitely an acquired taste...like RATM..... ;D

It was the only real hit Faith No More had....and it is considered a classic in some music circles....and it was a really big hit. LOL! Let me guess, this station is an alt/indie station? Surely not a true classic rock station....
I hate "Epic" too, but that's because my friend was in this pathetic band in high school and they played that song and would have me come along and play the piano portion at the end. And it was these seedy bars in BFE full of old men who leered at the 15-year old me. And it made me stop taking piano lessons.
I find lately that I cannot stand Panda Bear. I've heard several different songs on the radio and I've hated every one. Maybe it's cuz I never liked the Beach Boys?

I'm subjected to sh!tty radio at work everyday, and while I hate most of the songs that are played, my true guile, my pure unadulterated hatred is saved for these few songs.....
Fergie-Big Girls Don't Cry (The lyrics to that song are just horrendous)
The Fray-Save a Life (I'd like to not save their lives)
Nickelback-Rockstar (How is it that every one of their songs sounds exactly like another one of their songs?)
Carrie Underwood-Before He Cheats (That song just screams white trash)
Maroon 5-Makes Me Wonder (Makes me wonder how anyone can listen to these guys and not dance themselves off a cliff)

Reading this thread makes me so glad I no longer work in a place w/ sh!tty radio piped in. I'd rather have silence than endure ll these songs you guys are mentioning.
I would also like to add J. Giles Band's "Centerfold" to the list. Maybe its because I played it in the stands in high school marching band, but that "na na, na na na na" part just grates on me.

The Day the Music Died - Don McLean
when it first came out I thought it was great and then it was way overplayed on AM back in the day and when I hear it now I just want to have electro shock therapy to remove its memory from my brain.
MacArthur Park is the other one of this genre. I think Richard Harris did a better job as the head wizard at that school Harry Potter goes to. Jimmy Webb wrote it and it is a beautiful song but it is way too dramatic the way Richard Harris did it and it also got overplayed on the AM stations.
