saturday - huge flea market and labor day celebration sunday - motorcycle races (springfield mile) monday - getting ready for vintage clothing and jewelry show the next weekend
i wish i was going to hookahville. but it was a choice between that or recipe family cookout in mid september. and seeing as how its the recipes final 2 shows it was an easy call. so im gonna grill out and get drunk.
I'm going to see The Black Crowes tomorrow night at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, so I told my boss today that I need a vacation day for Thursday since I don't want to have to worry about getting up at 5:30 a.m. the morning after the show. He asked if I would be there Friday and I said sure. He said, "If it was me, I would take Friday off and have a super long Labor Day weekend." I thought about it and said "Good idea!" So, now my 3 days of blessed laziness has become 5 days of blessed laziness, and I get to start off this mini-vacation with The Black Crowes at one of the most historic venues in the world! Thanks for the advice boss!

It's my daughter's 12th birthday on the 4th. So we are gonna go to the Buffalo river and camp. I can rule out canoeing as today is the first day in forever that it has rained around here. Should be fun to wade though!
Going to my mom's cabin in way north MN with Biglou, 2/3 of the kids and 2 dogs. And I'm finally taking the top off the jeep again after all the incessant rain we've been having.
Edit: Oh crap, I almost forgot: bloody marys and beer at the Wooden Table!! ;D
So I'll be heading up to Rollinsville for the Rollinsgrass Festival (Vince Herman, Drew Emmitt, Cornmeal, etc) tomorrow after work, then it's further into the mountains on up to Yarmony Grass (Billy Nershi, Keith Moseley, Jason Hollingsworth, Drew Emmitt, etc.) whenever I wake up on Saturday, and then back down the mountains to home on Sunday, and right back up into the foothills that evening for Yonder, Rod y Gab, and Todd Snider at Red Rocks!
A hell of a lot of driving, but should be a load of fun.
