David Faustino and Vanessa Angel are going to be there!
Actually, I kind of wanted to go see all the crazy sci-fi people. Apparently, people go all out, dressing up and all that. And it's only like four blocks from my apartment. But, the at-the-door prices are a bit much, and we already have plans for Sunday, so maybe next year.
Looking through the names of film and television people who are going to be there, I can't help but wonder if this is kind of sad for people like Louis Gossett, Jr. and (to a lesser degree) Lori Petty. They actually both had something of a movie career at some point. Now, they are doing sci-fi conventions next to Kevin Sorbo, Richard Hatch, and about 60 other people who are even less well known than Sorbo and Hatch.
But, who knows, maybe they really enjoy this sort of thing.
Hmm...according to the Bureau of Prisons website, Richard Hatch is currently located at the Morgantown Federal Correctional Institute in West Virginia. I guess somebody just forgot to update the guest list!

That's Richard Hatch (from the first Survivor series), not Richard Hatch (Apollo on the original Battlestar Galactica).
Richard is currently serving time for tax evasion, while Richard continues to play the role of Tom Zarek on the new Battlestar Galactica.
I think he was talking about my girlfriend and I, and we had a blast! It was my first con and what an experience... partying and people watching were my two favorite things ;D We did some costuming, dressing like pirates one night, Alice and the Mad Hatter the next. Met a bunch of nice folks from the Nashville area (friends of the gf). I didn't catch any panels (wanted to catch the Adult Swim and some Computer gaming stuff) because I was annoyed by the long lines... maybe next year.
My celebrity highlight of the weekend; I was an arms reach from Richard Hatch, and Eric Estrada walked by me to get on the service elevator, all while hanging about in the Hyatt lobby.

Sounds pretty cool! It seemed such a shame to miss it because we are literally right down the road (the street that we live on turns into Courtland Street, which is the road that the Hilton is on), but it's too late now! I think next year we are going to make sure and get tickets early so that we can get the lower priced ones.
Glad y'all had a good time.
(And, for the record, I did not know who Richard Hatch was)
