No suprise that Cheney's Haliburton subsidiary KBR is atop the list, and specializing in giving us less for more.
Also interesting is the part on how these expenditures are being done through supplemental funding bills, thereby eluding much of the oversight meant to save us $ and record where that $ goes.
This war and occupation are all about corporate profits. And who cares if thousands of Americans and hundreds of thousands of Iraqis die. And we can't let the bankrupting of America (both financially and morally), stand in the way of rampant capitalism.
Edit: And the same companies and system was set up along the Gulf Coast after Katrina so is it any wonder the results are the same.

Unfortunately those stories only represent the tip of the iceberg....what is available through data mining of reports via public servers and the FIA.....it doesn't show what is behind the curtain.....believe me the problem is MUCH worse than even these horrible images portray. And I only see maybe another 1/8 of it by working for one of those DoD contractors "profiting" off the war efforts (not one mentioned in any of the articles however for the record) It is disheartening. And tragic......
Ang the Iraqi government is being forced to shut down refugee camps for the internally displaced (Which has doubled since the surge began to between one and two million) because they do not have funds to feed and care for their own people. I guess they can just starve. Here's a BBC report:
We really know how to spend our tax dollars. Meanwhile about 10% of Iraqis have fled the country (and America won't accept them.)

And here we have a report that some of these contractors' funds are being diverted to the insurgents to fund their killing American troops. At least we know some of that cash is going back to the community.
John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it
