What I found amazing was all the talk about Britney's fat stomache. She looked fine to me. (physically, I mean. Her performance looked bored, drugged and/or mildly catatonic.) The obsession with being anorexically thin in Hollywood needs to stop.
it was horrible. the whole thing. sarah silverman was the best part. i watched it on DVR and FF through most of it. I didnt know who half the people were. too much hip hop. just seemed like unorganized khaos

Yeah. I didn't watch, but Fox ran a story about how Britney made a "bloated, flabby showing" along w/ a picture that made me think "wow, Britney got some meat on her bones. She actually fuckable now!" Next week keep an eye out for their special on how eating disorders are on the rise. Lousey media (an I'm a part of it )

Oh...my.....GOD!
It's a truly wonderous and bizarre world we live in, when we can sit in the comfort of our own homes and watch the insane rantings of a rabid Brittney Spears fan being delivered from inside of a really nifty 'blanket fort'.
"I just don't know what this world is coming to."

"Blanket fort"....that's hilarious ;D ;D "All I'm gonna use this bed for is sleeping, eating, and maybe building a fort, but that's it!"

Here is a completely honest review, from someone that watched MTV growing up (early-late nineties, and here and there ever since).
I'll start with Justin Timberlake saying something that was said, Oh, I dunno, 15 years too late: "I challenge MTV to play more videos." He said it twice. I know, people have said the same thing on the same show for many, many years, but here we have a major star and, obviously, MTV's golden child of sorts saying this TWICE on their biggest show of the year. I can only hope that this can be taken seriously by Viacom, since one of MTV's biggest draws is criticizing the network on their *flagshit* annual show.
The opening with Britney Spears was bad, and nothing that I can say about it that hasn't been said a trillion times. Then Sarah Silverman, who in my opinion, is the worst major comedian out there right now. Her schtick was funny five years ago, and her show is only saved(barely) by her comedian friends. Needless to say, her follow up to the Britney fiasco only made it worse. Her opening had no reaction, and she had TONS of material just based on what took place over the previous 4 minutes. Pathetic start to a Pathetic show. Fall Out Boy was all over the show. So was Gym Class Heroes and some guy from some band I could care less about. So that was great B-music fun :/ Kanye's performances were scattered and cut, which is fine by me. JT stole the show the whole way through, and though I f'n hate his music, I have to say that he's one of the most talented pop solo artists in a while, so he has my respect. A triple threat if you will, given the Quadruple Threat Award that he won. Rihanna.... looked amazing, and anytime she was on the screen, I was glued. And a decent stage presence, solid star. Alicia Keys had the best performance of the night, shaking her ass in Puff Daddy's face. Hilarious.
That's all that stood out to me. Now I'm going to address the situation of low crowd enthusiasm. While it could be said that the crowd was dead because of the dreaded show they just endured, I have a different argument. The fans usually eat this sh*t up, but I think becuase they were in a smaller, more upscale venue, the show met the TV audience with a sense of "is there anyone inthis room besides the people on camera?" Maybe they should take a note from professional wrestling: artificial crowd reaction works.
Awfull show, but fun to watch in a train wreck sort of way.

Pathetic? Childish?....
KANYE WEST!
That's what he does. He is so unbelievably arrogant that actually thinks he's the best "musician" in the world. He is so unbelievably immature that he has made a habit(some might even say 'career') out of throwing tantrums whenever things don't work-out how he wants them to.
With the possible exception of his "George Bush doesn't care about black people" line, I've never seen him come anywhere even remotely close to rational. I guess if you're a dickhead to everyone, eventually someone who actually deserves it will stumble into your crosshairs.
Anyway..... He's a talentless, childish, cocky, little prick who honestly believes that he is the savior of modern-day music. I wouldn't expect anything less than that from him.
He is one man who is genuinely, 100% in dire need of a major asskicking. I just hope that someone catches it on film.

I only saw bits when flipping the channel. I went to mtv.com to see Britney's performance. Why are people trashing her body when it was her performance and confused expression thart was the trainwreck? I thought she looked amazing for a Taco Bell fanatic who has had 2 babies not too long ago. Should have chosen a different costume and a better hair stylist for that funky weave, but her bod looked good and real.
Rihanna was amazing.
I loved how Fall Out Boy won an award and the Gym Class Heroes ended up taking over the camera during the acceptance speech... and then some random chick from the audience got int he camera.
Whoever was manning the cameras should be fired, then shot.
That's about all I saw. Oh I saw that little boy... Chris Brown? imitate Michael Jackson. Jacko may be crazy, but dancing is fluid and innate for him. This guy, he was good but you could tell that there were months of practice behind his show.
Now I feel super old and uncool for saying "this guy." At least I didn't say "that young whippersnapper...." ???
I only saw Britney's thing (on mtv.com) cuz the news sites were all saying how horrible it was. And it really was! But the whole belly thing? WTF? First the media is all over Nicole Richie/Keira Knightly/etc for being anorexic - how thin is too thin - yadda yadda. Then they start ripping on Britney for being a NORMAL size!?! Well which is it? Make up your damn minds. Sure, she didn't have washboard abs, but she was by no means flabby. Good grief. I feel sorry for her.
Who thought that parading her out there like that was a good idea? If it were up to me she would've come out in a FABULOUS dress and just sang a song. It would've shown some... umm... class. Which is something she desperately needs.
