Hey! Just saw the trailer for this movie and it looks great! It is limited cities, so I will probably have to wait for it to come out on DVD as I don't see my hick town hosting it. But it should be fun if only for the Beatles songs..check it out!
PS. If anyone actually goes and sees this on Friday, let me know how it is...I may just take a road trip to Memphis or Nashville if I can find a movie theatre playing it. TIA!
Yeah, I didn't wanna say anything, but it just seems like another Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band The Movie, but this time it looks worse. I know that's a difficult feat.
Apparently this movie is on like extremely limited release, it may be because the reviews I've read have been horrible.
It bums me out cause I wanted to see this movie and then judge it myself, but after all the reviews I've read I'm scared to, one reviewer said he regretted an entire generation would be introduced to the beatles through this music.
Another one said the movie made him want to run out of the theatre and purchase the Bee Gees Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band movie with Peter Frampton and Steve Martin.
yeah, I'm sure it does suck but that doesnt mean i wont get really baked and go watch it
edit: By the way, Sgt Peppers the movie is highly enjoyable, I mean c'mon George Burns singing fixing a hole while tap dancing in a gazeebo, gold Jerry, Gold!
For the love of God, don't listen to the critics. This movie did not disappoint. It exceeded all expectations I had. . . which were high, because I only expect the best from Taymore. It's nothing like Sgt. Pepper's was.
Just go see for yourselves. You won't be let down, I promise.
It's playing in Knoxville? Gosh, that is a long drive for me. It is not playing anywhere around here. I was going to take a camping trip to Memphis or Nashville to see it but it is not playing there. Dang, guess I will have to wait for the DVD. Im glad to hear someone liked it! Hey, maybe they will show it at the Roo next year, I can imagine that it is visually stunning and would be fun to watch with Shakedown goodies percolating in the system#

I finally got to see this movie, and I have to say, I was impressed. It was visually stunning. I even thought they did a pretty good job covering the Beatles songs.
My daughter (14 yo) went and aw this yeaterday with friends - frist words when Boz picked her up were "I can describe this movie in two words - acid trip" and I KNOW she has no clue - but it was hilarious to have her describe it that way
