Well with Holloween around the corner , is anyone getting dressed up in a costume ? if so what are you dressing as , who ,what ..We(my better 1/2 and I) are hitting a friends farm , she goes all out with a haunted trail . and lots of cool stuff. .Dont know what we are going as thats why i was hoping to get some idea's off of you folks .. Have a great day ..
We're having our Halloween Party this weekend 'cause we're going to India. We have a big party every year with about 60 people. The guys set up a haunted trail thru the woods and the ladies fix some food and watch the kids.
We usually have a spider infested area, hell's kitchen, a graveyard, hazardous waste area, a maze and a UFO landing. Then we all set aroung the bonfire and party 'til dawn. We often have a live band too (just friends jammin a little.) We'll probably downsize a little this year as it's early and we're so busy and not sure who's gonna make it.
Here's my costume for the trail guide/graveyard/zombie in the woods. And pics from a few from the day after.

My wife, two friends and I are going as the residents for halloween and the Dia de los Muertos parade. We have tuxedo T-shirts instead of real tuxes, and the eyballs are still being assembled/painted. I'll post pix when they're done.
John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it
Those of us doing VooDoo Fest are talking about taking costumes....maybe resurrecting the Pirate theme....ARRRGH!
My friends and I usually do the bonfire thing on a farm out in the boonies when I am here for Halloween weekend. Last year I did the cheerleader-who-is-always-the-first-to-get-killed-in-all-the-horror-films-and-never-seems-to-see-it-coming....it works well when you are out in the woods in the middle of nowhere and there are a bunch of Freddie Krugers and Jason's wandering about.... ;D

love the water pipe. Were having a Sesame Street Theme. We've been working on the backround since mid-summer. We have to put a hiatus on the development for the weekend due to Echo (but i dont mind). Ill get picks as soon as were finished.. Hopefully this will turn out as good as we have hoped
I usually take the opportunity to not necessarily be in costume, but wear funky stuff I usually can't get away with in corporate America. Last year I was a green devil with green eye makeup and lips, green horns, lots of body glitter and funky heels.
This year i was planning on going as Rosie the Riveter, but even a short pair of men's coveralls has the crotch come to my knees. So maybe I'll be a gangsta Rosie or think of something else quick.
We usually don't go out, but this year desperately want to and can't find anything but overly packed cheesy bars and family-friendly parties. Can't a dame find a nice bash with adults and adult activities? Till then, I will be gangsta Rosie and my husband will dress as his friend before he met his wife (mullet haircut, baggy hockey jersey, gold chain, tapered faded jeans) for his son's 1st birthday/costume party.
*i like coconuts, you can break them open they smell like ladies lyin in the sun** *Hell I don't even know where I am** *for now I must sit here and ponder the yonder: The herbivores did well cause their food didn't never run** *We listen, if it feels good We shake** *You made a big impression for a girl of your size, Now I can't get by without you and your big brown eyes.**

Does anyone remember the video posted somewhere on this site a couple of months ago with the people who basically make themselves look like stick figures with what I think are basically long ass flexible glowsticks? I wanna do that! any idea what I need to buy? I am thinking of trying it out at the disco biscuit show this wednesday.
[edit] OOOOHKAAAYYY.... seems my reading comprehension today leaves a little to be desired. That place is going out of biz, but they do refer you to their supplier:

Well, we finally nailed down the residents costumes. Wore mine to work today. It looks OK but I wish I could have gotten the eyeball a little more spherical. I'll post more pics when we get all 4 together. Happy Halloween!
