Nice!
I really feel that Brautigan, Kerouac, Ginsberg, & other great American Writers of the last 50 years should be taught alot more in colleges & high schools.

Here's a couple Brautigan poems-
'DISCOVERY' The petals of the vagina unfold like Christopher Columbus taking off his shoes.
Is there anything more beautiful than the bow of a ship touching a new world?
'THE MEMOIRS OF JESSE JAMES' I remember all those thousands of hours that I spent in grade school watching the clock, waiting for recess or lunch or to go home. Waiting: for anything but school. My teachers could easily have ridden with Jesse James for all the time they stole from me.
Here's a very recent poem I wrote, the title of which is a nod of sorts to Brautigan-
’rentalcarp’ Plastic metaphysic surgeons offer up paradigms for a pair of dimes Whole cultures can shift on a (I dont rhyme coins w/ coins) Our leaders are mere carnival barkers we buy into the promises underneath rubber duckies No passion No fury No Moloch, whatsoever We have but an Excuse capitalized in hole-i-ness
Bother not checking my metre, I owe much for whatever its worth Four Buffalo (nickel) Springfields that grant me a paradigm?
No metre for no Moloch No eyes for all before me blind to emptyness holyness busyness not missing this
But your eyes, Reader, pierce me & string diamonds along disfigured aortas
