i was releaved to read an interview with the guy from oink - he said there shouldnt be enough data in the user information to actually incriminate anyone. phew.

he also said the cops questions were amusing due to thier lack of knowledge of the site and how it worked.

How do y'all feel about donations anyway?

I've never donated to a torrent site, and I felt like my reasons were confirmed in the wake of the OiNK debacle as authorities kept emphasizing that money changed hands. I'm sure a good lawyer can make a fair case that the money was not associated with whatever else was being exchanged, but personally I just don't feel comfortable about it in any way. I'd like to keep my hands as clean as possible while still getting my music fix.
