I know it's just local elections, but these are the ones that matter the most in out immediate lives. I'm happy to say that here in Tucson there are actually more Green Party candidates on the ballot than Republicans. Talk about a bizarro ballot. So who else took the time out of their day to excercise their democratic duty?

have to admit - didnt vote in the local elections - dont know who is running or what they stand for.
i do vote in national elections since i have a better understanding of what thier policies are all about. sad thing is - i agree, change begins on a local level.

I was actually talking about this to a relatively ignorant classmate of mine today. I asked if he planned on voting today and his response was "oh crap... I gotta do that. Who'd you vote for, Obama?"
edit: oh, and I should probably add that after my rolled eyes response, I said "yeah you know it!" just so he'd go and try and vote for Obama as well

^^^That would be funny to see him wander into the election booth, look around, then pop his head out and say, "I think this voting booth is defective-- there's no Obama on it!"
