If I had the time to play real guitar as much as some of my friends plays guitar hero, I'd probably have dropped college right now and be touring the country. making a stop in manchester for the summer, of course
the rock band game that just came out has a guitar with 10 buttons, the regular 5 on top like guitar hero, then 5 more towards the bottom of the neck. The ones at the bottom of the neck are only used for solos though.
^its kinda hard to see the buttons, you just have to look for the colors at the bottom, you'll see if you look hard. this guitar also has switches and knobs, not really sure how they are used in the game though
Is that only for Xbox 360?
Right now it's only out for Xbox 360 and PS3, but on Dec 18th it's coming out for Playstation 2, but as of right now no release date for Wii.
Yeah, I finally played GHIII last weekend. It's a really fun game, but I just can't justify spending that much time and money playing a game of something that I can do for real and get much more satisfaction doing so. It is a really great party game though. Now Super Mario Galaxy I can totally justify buying and playing till my eyes bleed.
I got GH3 on PS2. I think it's really fun with the battle mode. Morello kept kicking my ass til I figured out what I was doing wrong. I've got the Rock Band Bundle for PS3 (back)ordered. Biglou decided to go nuts and buy BOTH a PS3 and 360 for xmas, and there was much rejoicing! ;D
Except that Final Fantasy XIII keeps getting pushed farther and farther away from me...
I need to find me a girl that likes video games. It was a great source of tension between my ex and I.
Yes, you do, girls that don't play are dumb (just kidding ). Biglou doesn't play either. He's played GH a few times but only for one or two songs at a time. I, on the other hand, have spent oodles of hours (in the past when I was still with my ex) playing vids, even forgoing eating and bathing. That's really sad actually.
i'm addicted to guitar hero 3. i can't put down that damn guitar, even when i tell myself, "ok this is the last one", my hands keep picking another song.

Funny story about that 'Rock Band' dealy.
My buddy and I got a ride over to Best Buy to get Planet Earth on DVD (We were drunk and didn't want to risk driving ourselves ). When we arrived, there was this huge display moniter in the parking lot and four people from the company who were playing a David Bowie song (Suffragate City, maybe?). Apparently they were "really good" at what they were doing cause everyone was cheering them on. Anyways, when the promoters finished the song everyone congradulated them. (I assume the song was on expert or something.) During all the cheering my friend and I looked at each other in a very perplexed way. When all the clapping stopped and there was a small window of silence, I called out everyone in the parking lot, "Why is everyone clapping?". No one answered. In a disrespectful drunken mannor I then said "It's a damn video game."
Everyone there looked really pissed at me. But when I went inside the security guard was laughing about what happened and said "I know right!? What the hell is this ?".

Any of The Bowie songs in RB aren't worth clapping for, that it definitely pretty funny. Now the last tier of songs on expert in GH3, if you can play expert well on those, well idn if i'd applaud you, or shed a tear for the lost years spent playing guitar hero. ;D
We treat mishaps like sinking ships and I know that I don't want to be out to drift Well I can see it in your eyes like I taste your lips and They both tell me that we're better than this
