2006 was my first bonnaroo and i loved every second of it, but me and my friend were talking about this the other day. the only two things i regret (if you could call it that) about bonnaroo were not staying for more of the late night Disco Biscuit set and not seeing Brothers Past (i had never heard of them at that time). there are just so many things to do you cant make it to everything.
so i was wondering if anyone else had similar feeling about bands they wish they would have seen or anything. not just for 2006, any roo.
bryanroo, you are the stupidest person in the world for saying that. i cant believe you would post this "thread" if you can even call it that. uggh
I dont think its a stupid thread... I mean come on, we all have things we wish we would have done or not done at the Roo, why not share them? Maybe someone has something you can learn from

i know i was just kidding with him. it was me who was discussing our first bonnaroo with, and we were just talking about regrets and stuff we would do different this year. just a joke. no harm intended

I regret missing David Byrne in '04. Also falling unconscious for the entirety of the Dead set Sunday night, waking up to a huge fireworks display was fun though.

My biggest regret(s) was in 2004. My girlfriend and I missed both David Byrne and Primus after the near-biblical rain on saturday night destroyed our tent and everything in it. Being rookies, we let it ruin the vibe and then left early on sunday. Oh well...live and learn, right?
I regret going with a girl that I really was quite fond of, who didnt feel the same about me. I spent the whole time trying to have fun with her and ignoring all the other great people surrounding me, feeling jelous whenever she talked to a guy, not noticing the pretty girl camped next to us that was flirting with me etc etc. Don't get me wrong though, I had a flipping blast and those 4 days together made us best friends. In fact me, her and her new boyfrien are going together this year.
I've pretty much blocked out 2005 because it was just so bad. I was going with this chick from my hometown I had been flirting with forever, and two weeks before we left, she calls me up and says, "Oh yeah, my mom is coming cause she needs to get out of the house."
So. Damn.
We got there, and by Saturday afternoon, we found out that we both hated each other. So I hardly remember anything from that year, aside from us drunkenly making out while her mom lie sleeping a foot away. Awkward. We left Sunday afternoon, on her insistance, to "Beat traffic."
So my other regret is travelling to a festival with a chick I barely know.
Last year was our year for sickness. My best friend had a really bad cold during the Roo, my boyfriend got the runs from some sketchy lot food, and my other friend got the stomach flu and had to leave early Sunday morning, after spending four hours in the medical tent with none of us knowing where she was or how she was doing.
So I regret that they weren't able to have as good a time as years past, because we had all been looking forward to it for so long. I'm just glad I didn't get sick too, because I had to be the nurse!
I also regret letting the heat get the best of me my first year. I think that if I had just pushed through it and accepted that I was going to be hot regardless, I would have seen many more shows. I learned my lesson, and now I can't wait!!!

2006 was my first Roo. the heat killed us!!! we didn't have a shade tent. as a result, we just couldn't keep going for that long. i missed soo much good stuff.
i'm bummed that i missed: ben folds, dr. john, neville brothers, comedy tent
I myself have many roo regrets. 02 is the only year I've missed so far and most of my blunders were the result of excessive self-induced spunness. In 03 I missed all the Saturday late shows, including a Particle set that apparently went until sunrise. 04 was an incredible year for lineup, but the weather sucked major balls("Near Biblical" indeed). My main regret for that year is the missing of the Praxis set. I had never heard of them at the time and they've since became one of my favorite bands. The year 2005 was the year of my biggest bonnaroo regrets. I seriously underestimated some paper and woke up in jail with a black eye and several tazer marks on my ass . The cops cut off my wristband and I had to sneak into Centeroo for the rest of the weekend. The whole ordeal ended up costing me about 500 bucks, 10hrs in jail, and a Mars Volta set. It was ugly. Comparatively 06 went by quite smoothly. I missed the last half of Phil, but i also missed all the rain (And I got to see Phil at 10klf where he freakin' burned down the house) so no regrets for 06. I cant wait to see what happens at Roo 07! Hope to see you all there!!!

I missed Radiohead because I was just too tired to walk all the way back down to Centeroo.... I missed Oysterhead because no one else in my group wanted to see them.... I also regret not seeing some of the smaller bands that I had not heard of. This year, I am going way more prepared!
Sleeping through the latenight sets in '04 of Primus, Robert Randolph, and Ween. I'll blame most of it on the rain though. We sat there getting soaked watching Steve Winwood and waiting for the Dead to come on. Also, Umphrey's kept me up until 6 am the previous night so I was also extremely tired.

My only regret, skipping Umphrey's because I absolutely LOATHE the disco biscuits.
my only regret is being chased back to camp (a 40 minute walk) by the rain in 04 and deciding to listen to the dead from there. and then we missed ween too.
Looks like the rain messed up a lot of people's plans in '04. It was pretty awesome to watch the storm roll in Saturday evening though. Twenty mintues later and everyone was chasing their tent around. When I really think about it, I don't think I've been to a festival where I didn't miss one of the latenights for some reason or another.
oh and to top it all off. i was happy when we got to camp to see that my tent stayed dry. and i put a cooler in it to keep it from flying away. but in my intoxicated state i tipped my cooler over and spilled several gallons of water all over my tent. that sucked
I regret going back to camp for a "nap" during the headliner (ended up 8 hours long) in '04 and subsequently missing Praxis (who I had been talking up to my buddies for 4 months). They still give me grief about that one.
i take my naps in centeroo now. your sure not to sleep too long there.
Yeah, I don't leave Centeroo now until it's over for me on a particular day. My backpack keeps getting heavier and heavier with all the crap I lug in, though. ;D

2005 - not driving separate. took a greyhound down with my girl and met up with friends. they decided to leave at noon on sunday so we were forced to leave and miss the whole day.
