Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I fell in love with Gogol Bordello at Roo last year.
Never heard anything prior to roo.
Now I have an addiction !
I fell in love at Roo as well, though I had heard some of there stuff before hand. Went to see them later that summer in NYC. AMAZING show. I was sopping wet afterwards, a mix of my sweat, strangers' sweat, and the bottles of water being poured on the crowd. My BF and I stopped at rite-aid on the way back to the train station. I bought pajama pants, and when you added those to my new Gogol tee, I was the most stylish gal on the train. Fun night!
Yea, I can see that... public transport is always fun after a show.
Last year after Roo I saw Sinead O'Connor... well I waited for hous for an autograph and she gave me & my sister a case of Goose Island off her bus.
Afterwards on the bus back uptown to my car I was sharing them with people telling them not to thank me but to thank Sinead O'Connor.

I've got a bad feeling that all this speculation is onlly going to lead to Inforoo being looted and burned to the ground when it becomes clear that ScarJo will be performing without TW.
^^^Well, the Scarlett stuff was just thrown out there as baseless speculation. The ACTUAL info we have is based on a Hotz interview with a blogger who let slip that he's been working on a superjam Tom Waits set with Claypool and Hammet.

Would blow me away. I'd almost have to attempt front row for this show if true. Anybody wanna recommend some awesome Waits albums and songs? I only have Closing Time and want to school myself. I know he's amazing but I need to analyze his music now. I'm so pumped.
Please don't be a case of us getting our hopes up lol.
If Hammett was to perform in the Superjam, then it would only give him, what, 90 minutes at the most to get ready after his 2 1/2 - 3 hour headlining slot?

Has it been confirmed when SuperJam would be? It could be a separate day. Or a mid-day thing. Dunno but either way it should be crazy.
Thanks to those who suggested albums. I'll be trying to get some soon.
i wonder if waits had any contact with the guys of Gogol Bordello. Waits was in the movie Wrist Cutters last year which had i believe 3 songs from Gogol on the album. Its possible they came in contact sometime during the process of the movie.

maybe we will get Waits?
Oooh. Forgot about that connection. The character Eugene is also based on our good friend Hutz.

That would take some fortitude!
He would probably spend 60 minutes meditating and 30 minutes mind-melding with Les.
Hell of a find, Dudezer. I sooo hope !!! really isn't late-night on Friday, because I've just gotten comfortable with the idea of missing some mmj for them...but now they're trying to throw Claypool and Hammet at me? I don't even like Metallica, but wtf, the only one I like and Les Claypool? How many times is that going to happen? Dammit Superfly, you never fail to find all the sweetest ways to piss me off.

Rain Dogs and The Heart of Saturday Night are his greatest masterpieces. But almost all his albums are stellar, like Small Change, Swordfishtrombones, Franks Wild Years, Bone Machine and Mule Variations.
This better not conflict with MMJ. Please god let the Superjam move back to Sunday.
Just what I was going to post. Plus there's no WAY a superjam this epic could fit in a tent. Though I guess that's what we said last year.
If moved to Sunday, I would think this would be main stage pre-WSP. I would have to miss Death Cab to see this, but that I'm OK with. MMJ on the other hand is #1 on my list to see, and this (if true) would be my new #1, so that conflict would suck.
As a huge Waits fan, out of curiosity I downloaded the Scarlett Johanson album. My main reaction prior to hearing this was kind of pissed off just because Waits' music is too sacred to be done over by some yahoo, let alone a famous actress. And low and behold, I thought the album was pretty crappy, mostly on her part. The arrangements are well done and sound like if TV on the Radio were going to cover the songs, but then you throw on Scarlett Johnanson's unexpressive boring voice over it, and they were just ruined for me.
...sorry I just had to rant. But wow a Waits superjam would be unreal and long overdue.
In the love of stirring the pot, I'd like to point out that Metallica and MMJ are supposidly playing on friday night, doesn't superjam happen on saturday night?

I feel very strongly that they're going to pull Waits out of their hat as the Artist in Residence. If not though, won't they need a piano player? Ben Folds? Would Hutz sing? I'd assume so.

If they do get Tom Waits I hope is the only singer.
ive heard of tom waits but never really listened to him. great tunes i have so far, he kinda reminds me of when the south park gents do a raspy funny tune. i can't see scarlet singing this stuff but i sure wouldn't mind seeing her on stage! thats fo sho.

I picked up Rain Dogs and I must say... it doesn't really grab my attention like I had hoped. I'll keep searching for others though, because anyone with musical opinion that matters to me loves Tom Waits. Clearly, I'm just missing something...
