Not a roo' ground score, but after James Taylor like 2 weeks ago I found an unopened bottle of poland spring when I really thirsty and also a nice pair of nike sunglasses. I gave then to my friend though they were way small for my head
I didn't find anything for myself this year, but my roommate found a camping grill, and a fold up chair, my girlfriend found a pair of flip flops. There was also this guy that was looking for some no no's coming out of pearl jam, and when I told him I didn't have any to get rid of he said:
"man I just found a back pack out in the field with about a grand in it.... in fact do you mind if you shine your headlamp over here so I can't start counting it?... 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600 *stops counting because there is too much*..... quack man, there is a poopton of money here. Here take 5, it's Bonnaroo, and I'm going on a quacking shopping spree!!"
After that, I kept my eyes on the ground for abandoned backpacks....
Hey Shag, you remember 2 years ago late night saturday when you were out of your head and left your camelbak with all of your stuff in it on the ground in centeroo, and after about 30 mins of walking around we went back to look for it, and some stranger was sitting next to it waiting for you to come back for it? I remember that.
I, unaware that I did so, left my camelbak after Pearl Jam and about half way through the What Stage field my gf says "Where's your backpack?!" I was like...ummmmm!!?!!? We went back and a couple was sitting on the ground and said "Hey, are you looking for a backpack?! Someone gave it to us and said you would be back for it!" .....CRAZY! Glad to get it back though!!

Mmmmm..... warm baaaaby......
[edit] Although I've also heard about people chilling them for 1/2 an hour first.... that way, they're crunchy on the outside, but still gooey on the inside....

that sounds perfecto... spooky, we'll have to talk at the next Roo you go to and we'll see if we can score some baby on shakedown... although the dealers might not be able to get any in, security is kind of tight these days...
either way, i'd love to have some warm baby and a cold beer with you sometime...
didn't score anything really. Then again, I was in no condition to do anything but concentrate on where my next destination was.
However, during Jack Johnson, the woman in front of me in the beer line dropped a $100 bill when taking out her other money. I picked it up and gave it to her. Her response? "Oh..." Oh? That's it?!? No thank you. No offer to buy me a drink. I could have bought 20 beers with her cash if I was a bigger douche!
Me Bunny and teine almost groundscored a baby at All Good.
^^^ THAT was one f'ed up situation. That corner down there behind the where the car was parked was probably the most disturbing thing I saw at All Good...
I found ten bucks Thursday night which was cool since I didn't bring cash into Centeroo Thurs and really needed a beer.
Then I found a cell phone one night. My husband's charger fit it to I charged it and called a few numbers in it trying to contact the owner. I got in touch with the owner's friend who was also at Roo. she said she would call my cell phone that afternoon and meet me at the fountain to get it back to her friend but they never called. I kept calling trying to return the phone b/c I would want someone to do it for me...I was trying to catch some good karma...guess they were too quacked up to care, who knows.
Other than that I didn't find anything cool, but someone stole my pack of sharpies that we were getting our newfound friends and neigbors to draw on our table cloth.
I flew in, so I couldn't really take anything big with me - but I could have easily ground-scored tons of tents, EZ-ups, camping chairs, tapestries, coolers, sleeping bags, food, cases of water, unopened cans of beer and soda, tarps, mini grills, etc. Bonnaroo might have tons of hippies in its midst, but it also seems to attract quite a number of people who don't seem to care one bit about the environment.

So I was sitting at Which stage waiting on Willie and I was EXTREMELY bummed. My buddy had just left the farm (family emergency at home) so I was left there all alone. I was actually thinking about going home myself. I was sitting on the ground and happened to move around to tie my shoe and I kicked up a button out of the dust. I picked it up, wiped it off, and it said "believe". That alone made me decide to stay and I had the best weekend of my life. Now I carry it around with me wherever I go.

"We're no longer called Sonic Death Monkey. We're on the verge of becoming Kathleen Turner Overdrive, but just for tonight, we are Barry Jive and his Uptown Five. "

the courage to go on... i bet everyone wishes at some point that they could pick that up out of the dust... karma to you.

Explain por favor?
Basically there was a family of wooks set up over in that corner with kids. They didnt take very good care of them all weekend and Joel, Jessie and Dottie had a hairy situation with one of the kids. I want there so I dont know for sure, but it was certainly an f'd up situation for sure.
^Essentially there was a baby crying in a tent for about 15 minutes. We went and checked on it, and it was bright red dripping sweat and screaming. I told Bunny to get it, and get in her car with the AC to cool it down, about then the momma wook came over, and said everything was fine. We went on and got her and the baby to sit in the car for about half an hour. They were selling psychedelics which is just never a good situation to get into with a baby.
Thanks! It amazes me how great everyone was at the roo. I'm so ready to go back! Did anyone else have any soul altering experiences or finds?
Yes, but I'm not allowed to discuss them here. ;D But seriously, I actually did have some non-illicit soul-altering experiences. I'm writing it all up in a short story at the moment and will be sure to post it in The Art of Such and Such when it's ready.

Holy poop, that's just horrible. Those people are clearly not capable of handling the responsibility that comes with having a child. That baby could easily have died! If it were up to me, I'd have child services give that baby to a couple that deserves a child, but can't have one of their own. Things like this just piss me the quack off so much... arrrrgh!

I was right up front for Willy and foun one of those buttons too. It was a good part of the night for me. After I had taped a good 5 songs of Willies set, I changed out my memory card and went to Metallica. Later on I lost my card at the Superjam. I lost alot of vid and pics. Sad day....sad moment.
i left an empty pack of cigs full of about 6-7 beans in front of that tent, went back to the campsite, realized what i had done, and when i went back they were still there!
