No one is saying that definitively means he's going to be there, I just brought that up to disprove WJ's stale point about the "kanye sucks" password. I just don't think there's a grudge on Capp's part anymore.
That would suit me after 7 Bonnaroos I have seen maybe 5 headliners, even with people I like at some point it makes sense to grab a nap when you are only missing one act.

Coldplay - Radiohead - Daft Punk - Mumford and Sons - Kanye West - Bassnectar or Deadmau5 - Band of Horses - Florence and The Machine - Sigur Ros - Fleet Foxes - TV on The Radio - Skrille.x - The Temper Trap - Manchester Orchestra - Bon Iver - Feist - Two Door Cinema Club - Animal Collective - Local Natives - O Brother - Tinie Tempah
A line up like this would be great. Even just a few. I would put money on Bon Iver, Skrillex, and Coldplay. Seeing both Bon Iver and Skrille.x will have incredible summers in 2012 playing most large fest I would assume. And coldplay going on Hiatus after this last album making it the last summer they have to play. Just my .2

Radiohead - Dre & Snoop- MMJ - Paul Simon - Raconteurs - Deadmau5 - Phoenix - Fleet Foxes - Modest Mouse - Allman Bos. - Cut/Copy - m83 - Primal Scream - Umphrey's Mcgee - Foster the People - The Vaselines - PJ Harvey - Naked and Famous
stretch it out with some jam and bluegrass and country that i don't really give a poop about. also i know the billing is goofy at the bottom, but i don't particularly care about that either.

I think Modest Mouse would probably be billed ahead of of Phoenix. In fact I want to say they'd be behind Paul Simon but I guess I don't know. Would Raconteurs really be that high?
Racontuers are "reuniting" (not sure if it qualifies since it's only been 3-4 years but whatever). Modest Mouse is behind 3 other acts that have huge hype behind them, while I believe MM is on a downturn, popularity-wise.
Maybe Kanye hates Bonnaroo and doesn't want to come back either?
With Kanye's ego I bet he would want to play and put on a spectical of a show. Just to shut everyone up and once again prove no one in hip hop can touch him. Plus, money talks
I know Glastonbury is across the pond, but being they have shared headliners before and there is no Glasto this year, do you think this opens the pool of headliners a bit?
I'd say it's a logical conclusion that 'Roos pool of possible headliners is a bit larger this year. Glasto is a hugely popular market on the festival circuit and since there won't be one this year I'd say more bands would be available.
Eh, Glastonbury isn't the same weekend, and it hasn't stopped some in the past - 2010 saw Stevie, Black Keys, Flips, Dead Weather, Mumford, LCD, National, Phoenix and others play both. 2009 both had Bruce. But I guess it might take away some of the appeal of spending summer in Europe (also with London probably being hard to book and tour because of the Olympics).
