Yeah, their live shows look incredible. That'd be an awesome band to close out a potential metal tent, hopefully on Saturday night when there's (seemingly) gonna be fewer things I want to see.
The additions will definitely contain some metal, bands like Meshuggah,Anthrax, or even Mastodon.
Mastodon is unlikely, as they're in Europe. Meshuggah would be great, as would Liturgy, Baroness, Valient Thorr, High on Fire, Pelican or Wolves in the Throne Room.
I'd love a Baroness return, they were one of my favorite Thursday sets ever.
i was a cudi fan till that stupid song with vampires came out. since then everything has been slow, droning, and boring. that wzrd shit sucks too. i only caught the last 5 songs at roo, but it doesn't make me want him to come back. especially with his new material.
Besides Danzig, I don't know if there will be anymore metal. But this is based off of nothing.
After looking at the artist by genre thread, it should be interesting what they decide to do with the metal. They'll need quite a few adds to get a whole day themed tent. I suppose if they add one or two, they could put themin a tent with a few of the punk bands. Bad brains could be a good transition between metal and punk bands.
And wow, you're like a walking, talking infomercial to turn people away from Pearl Jam and Ohio State, aren't you? Before you started posting here I quite liked Pearl Jam and was indifferent towards OSU, now I find myself wishing that Eddie Vedder falls down a mine shaft or that Columbus is infested with locusts

i think Baroness, possibly Meshuggah, Corrosion Of Conformity, Torche and Ghost could be metal adds. i was hoping for Kyuss Lives and Animals As Leaders and of course Mastodon, but they'll all be in europe.

If Rancid doesn't have anything going on i'd love to see them on the farm. Also, a return from The Gaslight Anthem would make my weekend. Les Claypool in some shape or form as well. Kind of strange he's not on the inital line up. I've seen Primus 6 times, Claypool solo twice. he always puts on a rockin show.

You're obviously a huge Kid Cudi fan who thinks he can do no wrong so there's no use in arguing this point. I laughed at "screaming in to the mic is soul". Yes, the "Beatz" were hard which is why the sound was off. His mic was way lower than the music which is why he was screaming, not because "Cudi has soul". There was nothing good about that show. I went into that show a big Cudi fan (like I said, I saw him a couple months before, and he was great), and left very unimpressed. Maybe I hadn't heard RevOfEv yet but I knew just about every song, so my disappointment did not stem from not knowing the material he was playing. It was because he just did a piss poor job, and I think most people in attendance would agree. I can also pretty much guarantee you he won't be asked back to Roo, because that show was considered so Sh**ty by many.
I shouldn't even ask what you think of his most recent music...
cudi won't get asked back because there are a few too many pretentious fools who have very narrow views of what a performance should be? you think jim morrison gave a damn if he was living up to a "great performer" label every time he went on stage? no. if you want cookie-cutter perfect performances check out justin beiber. and his last album was a bit too moody for me, but his new tracks like the brake and dose of dopeness are promising. that's why i'm saying his wzrd project would be good for a roo set.

You just compared Kid Cudi to Jim Morrison. Not a good look, bud.

I've been to Bonnaroo 5 times as well as Lollapalooza once. I think I can tell the difference between a good or bad performance. Cudi was just crap, and like I said this is coming from a fan.
I DON'T CARE THAT IF IT'S THE RIGHT THREAD OR NOT BUT WHO CARES IM SO EXCITED--
I JUST BOUGHT MY TICKET!! BONNAROO HERE I COME!! First time Rooer!
I'm jealous. Few things are as special as the first time you walk around Centeroo, taking it all in.
For me it was the drive through the campground. You could see the ferris wheel on the grounds, and just thousands of people walking around having the time of your life. People stopping by your slowly moving car to offer you beer and other treats and greeting you with, of course, "Happy Bonnaroo!"
The thing I remember from my first Roo was this magical feeling I got watching my first set. It was in This Tent watching What Milwaukee Made Famous in '08. The sun was starting to descend behind the trees. The lighting at This Tent at 6:00ish is perfect. Just amazing and so exciting with the whole festival in front of you.

I logged in for the first time in forever just to say how bad that cudi show was. Me and my friend are both fans and thought the same. This dude sticking up for him is a little overly fanatical, I bet he's listening to a bootlegged cudi performance right now
