I couldn't make it work for NY. I had shows Thursday, Friday, Saturday and am going to two Goose shows this Saturday/Sunday so really can't afford the time and energy but it's one of my big regrets. Will catch them when I can next time around. I saw a cool looking poster they had for sale, too. Jealous.

Literally just laughed to myself when seeing a notification about aunty Donna boys being the guestson tomorrow's episode of Hollywood handbook. I love all of these people so I'm so excited. I wish aunty Donna got a second Netflix season but seems to not be happening.
That said...I caught up on all flagrant podcasts and Hh has been great but so has flagrant ones. So silly and dumb.

listening to this now and it definitely feels like an episode that people who don't like the show would absolutely hate. i can see my husband's eyes rolling down the street listening to this video bit just going on and on for 40 minutes.

Scott Hasn’t Seen episodes have been great lately. Major League, Gremlins 2, and Princess Diaries were all very enjoyable. I still think The Next Karate Kid was the best one but probably just because I love Connor Ratliff and that movie is bonkers.

Holy shit.
CBB Presents: Sparkalonious: The Lost Memoir of Gabriel Sardinas
Before his death, renowned genius Gabriel Sardinas secretly recorded a memoir, unbeknownst to anyone. But now his grandson, Irving, has found it, and for the first time ever, presents it to the rest of the world.

Head's up vinyl lovers - the insanely fun live recording of How did this get madee: Drop Dead Fred is being released on double vinyl. Order here: hdtgm.bandcamp.com/
this might be more appropriate for one of the fashion threads, but i think it's one of those niche stories that has been happening in the background of life for a while that might make people who don't even care that much about fashion look around and go "woah".
The new season of Articles of Interest (an offshoot of the 99% Invisible podcast) is the unusual story of American Ivy, which is basically the foundation of, well, all the clothes you wear. It's a great story and I don't want to spoil it too much, but it all started because ONE Japanese guy was obsessed with what he saw students at Princeton University wearing when he visited America in 1950s.
I've been fascinated with the clothes we wear and the stories behind them for a while, so I knew some of the major points of this story, but I learned a lot and it's laid out so well. A real joy to listen to if you are looking for a random new documentary-type podcast.

Just when I get familiar enough with a podcast to think "wow, I'm gonna recommend this to inforoo!" it gets cancelled. ALBUMMER! is worth a listen, RIP. Comedy about bad music.

Punch Up the Jam is a similar idea. It was Demi Adejuyigbe and Mel something from Vine and it was fucking sick but Demi left so now idk. Demi and Mel would each do edits/parodies of the song they discussed in each episode and play them for each other at the end. Def rec the episode about Shallow from A Star Is Born with Sean Clements as the guest. That song is dumb as hell.

you should check out a few of the last episodes ALBUMMER did, the Metallica episodes are entertaining as hell because they have so much background

This classic ( can't believe it's over 7 years ago now) always made me laugh so hard and was a big moment that hooked me for life. They sound so young, too, lol.

Stay F Homekins (Paul F Tompkins and Janie Hadad Tompkins) releasing a watchalong bonus episode for Muppet Christmas Carol? Fuck yes this is happening.
One of my favorite bits where everyone's cracking up. I LOVE when Drew has to repeat the Peter at the end because (I think) PFT didn't fully hear it or something. So so good. Need Drew back on CBB soon

Well when I’m wrong, I’m wrong. Now fully invested in CBB. Y’all got me. I’ve had to turn some episodes off at work because some might call it “unprofessional” when I’m cracking up alone at my desk.
