Well when I’m wrong, I’m wrong. Now fully invested in CBB. Y’all got me. I’ve had to turn some episodes off at work because some might call it “unprofessional” when I’m cracking up alone at my desk.

A few weeks ago I was thinking about things I want to do in the next five years, and hiking a major trail, if even in just a few legs a year was on the list. My phone def tracked that and this podcast was recommended to me by Spotify so I started it today. The episodes are short so I'll give it a try. This guy is doing the Pacific Crest. I'm nearest the Appalachian currently so if anyone knows any good ones aimed at that, lemme know. But you never know where the winds will blow you and I'm lookin' to get out of here, so also open to podcasts about any of them.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

jpbrez has thru-hiked the AT and PCT so maybe he can give you some info. I haven't read these threads in a long time but he wrote about both hikes and I remember them being excellent:

mentioned in another thread, but several years ago i really tried to listen to "hardcore history" but could never get into it. super long episodes with just one guy talking about boring war stuff.
but lately i've finally been getting into his series on WWI called "blueprint for armageddon", considered by many to be one of the best podcast series of all time, and also this means i am officially a middle-aged white man.
my copy of the cbb book came today and i'm so excited to get into it. gonna try to take my time and enjoy it, but i know i'm just gonna fly through the thing.

I got mine a little bit ago. Snagged a signed one and ended up getting Scott, Paul rust, and Neil Campbell signatures. Awesome

HAYES AND SEAN ON THE NEW COMEDY BANG BANG EPISODE!
I also saw Scott was on their show recently but I haven't listened to it yet because I got in the habit of watching the video feeds for episodes of the main HH show.
So pumped to hear the boys and old Parking Lot Scott get into it again.

I've been obsessed with everything Dumb Dumbs and Dice since January. Actual play TTRPG stuff, the flagship is Dumb Dumbs and Dragons, DnD5e based. They're all professional improv actors/writers/thesbians, and the humor really resonates with me. Just started their Warhammer one, the Valentyne Heresy, today, and it's just as good as the other two I've listened to!
friend sent that to me last night and i'm both shocked and not surprised at all that it's an hour long. here's a related and equally stupid thing that replays in my head constantly. i can't get over the way ridiculous voice drew tarver yells michael JACKSON.
Sean Clements has a new show on the Flagrant Ones feed, Subtitles Only, about movies about writing. First episode is with Hayes talking Charlie Kaufman's Adaptation. Very cool that someone is finally doing a podcast about movies.

Scott hasn’t seen doing a live rowdy screening/podcast recording of mama Mia 2. Can’t believe they are actually doing this. Just snagged a couple tickets
