Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Sorry I missed that. I just bought 4 (got a balcony for me since I paid) for me and my 3 kids before checking Inforoo. I'm just holding these in reserve depending on what BUKU does for The Joy Friday. Last year it was GRIZ with Pres Hall (Friday) and STS9 (Saturday) whereas the Republic was all DJ's. Baauer will sell out either way, so I can get my money back even if I have to walk over to the Republic for a little while to hawk those.
Awesome, I'm just concerned I would be stuck with the 4 tickets I purchased, I just wanna make my money back haha
It shouldn't be an issue. I'm in the same boat, but knowing that all the Buku afterparties will sell out, it's just a matter of either finding someone who wants them or showing up with them in hand. We had different people last year at the festival approach us looking for STS9, Floss and GRiZ tickets. So I'm not worried about it. I'm guessing the final 3 shows (being pre and post parties and then Friday Joy) will come out next week along with the app, food menu, etc. Hey mfers at BUKU, have Iced Coffee this year. I don't fn drink Monster Energy. ------------------------------------------------------------ New Orleans “bounce music” pioneer Big Freedia — who just collaborated with Beyoncé on her controversial new tune “Formation” — is branching into food.
At the BUKU Music + Art Project on March 11 and 12 in New Orleans, the local singer’s hosting a pop-up called “Big Freedia’s Soul Food,” serving a novel Southern menu that includes dishes like Twerk-A-Mein, Booty Poppin’ Potatoes and the more staid-sounding Cucumber & Creole Tomato Salad.

VIP wristband arrived in the mail, getting real now:-)
I can probably help you out with your extra Friday Baauer ticket fbpsi. Just haven't bought yet in case the other venue's show is better (I on the other hand esteban will flip my sh_t if Above and Beyond nabs a late show!)
Please tell me they have IPA somewhere on the festival grounds, even better if it is one of the free choices. So disappointing to only have lager options at venues in this craft beer day and age.

I think they had some higher end beer and craft beers elsewhere in the festival. But for your VIP if I'm not mistaken, they had Abita Amber (locally good amber ale) and something else on tap (maybe some bud swill or something?) and then Wild Turkey 101, Sky Vodka and Castillo Rum if I remember correctly. The biggest bitch about the VIP is that the bars are on the boat. While you can get as many drinks as you want on the boat, you can only take one off with you. That's not to say you can't fill up a water bottle with vodka if you tip the bartenders right or get a glass of it over ice and then fill your bottle.

Pretty much all of this.. I'll probably grab lunch and grab some good beers before I head to the fest each day.. Staying on Canal @ the Marriot this year.. Was so much easier when i lived uptown
But do remember it's also 311 and 312 Day simultaneously. So there will be 20-30k people in from elsewhere for that and Buku alone (out of 35-40k attendees between the two). So service won't be great. But provided you are either staying downtown or in the FQ, you'll be fine to walk.

Completely forgot about 311 Day...
In other news, its early, but they're calling for rain both Friday and Saturday.. Hopefully that nonsense stays away
This confirms I'll be spending my Thursday money on Zoogma and Freddie Todd. Lookas appears to be a decent trap DJ, and Hyphee is from Biloxi. I don't listen to SFAM and have no idea who Blitz is but I'm assuming he or she is also local. So essentially, IDGAF.
------------- Also of note is the hangout with Adam Deitch of Break Science and Pretty Lights live band auction including VIP tickets for two to benefit Headcount. ------- Also Araabmuzik can't play Late Night Funktion, so Soma Entertainment will have a different HL for their Friday show.

Haha. See you Saturday. We have some pretty divergent schedules on Friday. This is the 4th Buku I will go to, and due to a lot of shit I don't care much about (Cudi, Fetty, Nero, A&B, Chvrches, Crystal Castles), I don't have any real bad conflicts. There is some overlap but it doesn't matter with VIP. I'll probably catch a boat set or two, but I'll fit that in with drink runs.

Power Plant Stage all day on Friday.... Donovan Wolfington > Post Malone > CHVRCHES > Above & Beyond > Kid Cudi > either Rae Sremmurd or Griz...that'll be an in the moment decision.
Saturday: losts of wandering around > probably a bit of Future > Earl Sweatshirt > Purity Ring > Pretty Lights > Cashmere Cat B2B Trippy Turtle > A$AP Ferg

Think this is going to be a fun little festival. Schedule works out very well for me personally. Other than a few absolute must see acts, I will be bouncing around to what feels right in the moment. My schedule is always more of a realm of possibilities, the people you meet and setting and vibe at that particular point in time are key ingredients. Friday is simply all around beautiful start to finish!
Donovan Wolfington>G Jones>Break Science!!>Mija B2B Anna Lunoe>CHVCHES>Quadrouple conflict (where the wind blows me)>Above and Beyond!!!!>Triple conflict (blown by the wind)>Baauer>more conflicts galore>Griz!!!
NGHTMRE>Who knows>What So Not>Borns/Prince Fox conflict>Feed Me>Who knows>Miike Snow!>Yellow Claw/Purity Ring conflict>Pretty Lights!!!>Happy most anywhere late night
Late Night Funktion @ Howlin' Wolf has not named the replacement yet for Friday night since Araabmuzik got targeted and shot in Harlem, NY. Get well soon man. www.fox5ny.com/news/98953228-story
However, Dragon's Den has released some of its shows for Buku (official) though there isn't anything I'm planning on going to there:
Friday March 11th Kompression x Buku Late - Matthew Dear (DJ set), Thugfucker, Herb Christopher, Unicorn Fukr and others
Saturday March 12th Kompression x Buku Late - J. Phlip, Mark Starr, ATNARKO, Unicorn Fukr and others
Sunday March 13th Church x Buku Late - The Widdler, Dev79, Librarian, Quickie Mart and others
2024: The Floozies, Phyphr, Disco Biscuits, Cimafunk, WSMFP, The Killers, Cory Wong, Dumpstaphunk, Bomba Estereo, Molly & Golden Hwy, Big Freedia, Payton/Nth Power, A.P&TFN
I'll update next week to see where my head is at with what I want to see, but current Top 10 (excluding late night shows) is:
1. Pretty Lights Analog Future Band 2. GRiZ 3. Mystikal/Juvenile/Fly Boi Keno <--- Thinking this will be the sleeper show of the festival 4. Break Science 5. Baauer 6. A$AP Ferg 7. Datsik 8. Future 9. Feed Me 10. Anderson.Paak & The Free Nationals
Also, a bunch of the top shit isn't even on my intended schedule. Baring conflicts, I'll walk by a few of these sets for a casual look.

Matthew Dear is a must-see
Thanks. I've never heard of him (quick look-up shows Audion and Jabberjaw as other aliases) and will be on the lookout. We are already going to Baauer that night for now (4 tickets) but we are more likely going to end up at The Joy since they will have the biggest after-party show that night. Dragon's Den is way down-river from where we'll be and a bit far from Mardi Gras World (probably a 2ish mile walk), but if for some reason I'm down that way Friday, I'll check it out. If not, it's a rain check for future sets. I kind of like The Widdler too now that I've listened to some of his work, but no way we're not going to Zoogma and Freddie Todd that night. Damn, 1 week and 1 day til kick-off. They need to release more shit damnit.

Yes, it's true! BUKU 2016 is now 90% SOLD OUT! Grab your passes now so you don't end up empty-handed while your krewe is in throwin' down in the Float Den! Saturday single day GA passes have sold out, but Friday GA, Friday & Saturday VIP, and 2-Day Passes are still available...
If the capacity this year is set to 14,000 people, that means they only have to sell 1,400 more (12,600 sold obviously). No doubt with Saturday GA day passes selling out, Friday will as well (and Saturday VIP isn't far behind). This means only the Friday GA, Fri/Sat VIP and 2 Day GA's & VIP's are still available. Look for them all to sell out by next Tuesday or Wednesday. This is pretty cool considering the amount of people they're not getting to go due to 311/312 Day(s).

Great news! Hopefully I can make a profit then. I will go out there and sell them outside, IDGAF!
Big Freedia is doing a cooking demonstration on The Front Porch (at Buku) of her version of ya-ka-may/ya-ka-mein which is a beef broth over noodles with a hardboiled egg thrown in at the end. This is a local late night staple as well as a notorious hangover cure that probably works like a bloody mary. She will also have a food booth at the festival per the app. She'll be serving
Twerk-A-Mein $7.00 Booty Poppin Potatoes $7.00 (which is smothered potatoes and sausage) Cucumber & Creole Tomato Salad with house made dressing $6.00

gpt a feeling BUKU is gonna be sick!!! PL is gonna kill it
we all need to meet up for a drink too
Yeah. I think both PL sets have the potential to be great. I still wish there was more stuff I wanted to see and the usual hair-pulling conflicts, but the schedule is good enough. I guess it's a little too close for the album (or whatever he's doing since he said he's not going to do album formats now) to come out. But if we get some new stuff, it's basically going to be the band behind so many of his jams and the Hotshit. Personally I love the move toward music and away from beats. PL always had it, but since he's jamming with some of the best in the business now, things seem to evolving in a good direction. Check your PM's and I'm refreshing all morning trying not to miss any announcement regarding a potential Joy Theatre Friday set under the theory that if they waited until the last week to announce, they had to know it was going to be something that would sell out. Of course there may not be a show there that night, but just in case...

BOOM goes the fuck the world last Late Night Show for Friday at the Joy. I'm basically gonna ditch my Baauer tickets and sell them if anyone was looking. I have 3 GAs and 1 VIP.
The Buku Allstars featuring an evening of improvisation and collaboration featuring in alphabetical order:
Adam Deitch (Drummer Lettuce, Break Science, Pretty Lights) Borham Lee (Keys/DJ Break Science, Pretty Lights) Eric Benny Bloom (Trumpet Lettuce, Sonic Bloom, Pretty Lights) Eric Krasno (Guitar, Soulive, Pretty Lights) Eric Vogel (Bass, Big Sam's Funky Nation) GRiZ Jai Wolf Mystikal Russ Liquid
Yeah. This is as good as a Buku Late Super Jam can get.

They have them on the website. They released a few more. It will likely either sell out by tomorrow night or Thursday AM though there could possibly still be a couple of hundred at the box office with the 311 weekend opposing.
=Buku doesn't normally have a live stream do they?
No. They do occasionally have professional cameras working, but I don't know if they are just filming for the future. And with all the chumps with their cameras going, you'd think more people would upload some of the videos. But there really never is that much that goes up. I was more thinking about filming a couple of songs at Pretty Lights and Griz/Mystikal super jam if I have any charge left by 2-3am. I might get a little up from the fest, but I was going to try to save phone life for late. Maybe now that they are a Goldenvoice asset this could change. I haven't heard anything though. MTV/Paladia is usually there but mostly to report.
