I think I've narrowed it down to Mastodon and Jamiroquai. Freddie Gibbs bringing in 3rd.
On another note that Arca album was on another level. It's a shame it's in the same month as Kendrick and Gorillaz. If it didn't beat Code Orange it is def my second favorite of the year so far. I wasn't even expecting to like it.
none of the tracks that they've put out have made me very thrilled for the New Pornographers record
technically we don't know if we're actually getting a Kendrick album yet
Joey Bada$$ could be good. B4.DA.$$ was solid.
Gorillaz, White Reaper, Feist, and Mark Lanegan I'm cautiously optimistic about, but I know that at least one of them is going to be a disappointment. that's just the law of averages.
the notion that anything other than Kendrick would compete for AotY is worthy of the hardest side-eye I can muster, though
Arca is about to release the AOTY next week.
I thought you were going ma be way off with this. I was wrong. It will be in my top 10
Today was the first time I listened to a Father John Misty album all the way through (I didn't like his last one much) and I enjoyed it. One question though, is his voice reminiscent of Elton John or is that just me?
With the ridiculous spread for March, I'm surprised any one else voted for this album. I'm particularly surprised that you did, of all people, based on my limited knowledge of your tastes. From my memory, we don't usually have aligning thoughts, so this is cool.
Also, so, it's a tie between Mount Eerie and Soulwax? Weird.

Interestingly, we actually both picked the same album in January, too (Bonobo) and had a few overlapping honorable mentions in Feb
Also, I think I was the first person to hype this album in the thread
I don't remember the original thread it was posted in, but anywho shoutout to postjack for telling me to listen to the new Drake album. It's overlong but it's my early second favorite of his after Take Care.
Is today the last day to vote? I haven't listened to much this month but want to check out Arca and Kelly Lee Owens first.

I'm going to preemptively suggest that we have a runoff in a few months time for all the two and one vote albums for AOTY purposes because this month was so broad.

Maybe.
I think we're already at 20 albums with 3+ votes though
