Thanks for compiling this list. So many albums to check out. Frickin' excited!
I didn't actually compile anything. I was reading Stereogum's advance review of Perfum Genius (they enjoyed it. said it's weird. much excitement here.), and that list was at the end. It just struck me how many of those albums I want to hear, and they all come out on the same day.

Regardless, I'll be checking this list throughout Thursday midnight and Friday all day.
I agree with you, I've been looking forward to listening to many albums that'll be released on 5/5 for a while.
I listened to this a long time ago when it first leaked and only liked a few tracks. It was very underwhelming initially. I didn't come back to it for a while until after it was released and it just grew on me more and more with each listen, to the point where I love almost every song. Kendrick has the superior album this month but it'll get plenty of votes. Plus this got the most listens from me.

HM: White Reaper - The World's Best American Band Andrew Combs - Canyons of my Mind The Black Angels - Death Song Charly Bliss - Guppy Father John Misty - Pure Comedy Feist - Pleasure
Not much that I thought was great, but a lot of real solid albums. Cold War Kids is the one that I keep going back to for some reason, though I think Feist will be the one I listen to the most in the long run.
FJM really does have a wonderful voice, and I'm not much of an audiophile the production on this album is absolutely superb.
Edit: Oops, just accidentally exited out of the tab it was playing in. Guess that's enough Misty for me tonight.
Dammit. If you didn't finish the album, you should. The final track really ends the whole album off perfectly. I've probably listened to that song about 40 times this month already.
HM: Ryuichi Sakamoto - async Arca - Arca Ulver - The Assassination of Julius Caesar Wolfbrigade - Run With The Hunted Tara Jane O'Neil - Tara Jane O'Neil Gas - Narkopop Future Islands - The Far Field Father John Misty - Pure Comedy
I think I probably can assert that Kenny's album is slightly higher in quality (though not by a huge amount) than the new Sylvan, but I've listened to the latter more. It is a really really enjoyable album.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
