I don't know if anyone has told you specifically or if you've done it already, but you should listen to Overcoats' Young.
I did listen. I enjoyed it.
Excellent! Also, since you're on my mind: I haven't listened to it yet, but Monica Martin of PHOX teamed up with a producer apparently going by Violents to make an album. It came out yesterday, it's called Awake And Pretty Much Sober.

I just remembered railing for Chelsea Light Moving at Fun Fun Fun, so I saw them three and a half times. They came to my area a lot that year.
Kendrick will probably be my vote. The lyrics are just too good and I like the bass heavy beats. I thought about Father John for a minute, but that albums is a bit too long and can get kind of depressing. I'm going to go through Friday's releases before making my vote official. I've been anticipating that new Feist.
So far I've enjoyed the new Kendrick and Cashmere Cat the most this month. I haven't been active on here in quite some time, but if I would have voted last month it would have been Kelly Lee Owens easily.
I just listened to Feist again and cemented that it's my favorite this month/year. Then I listened to Kendrick again. 3rd listen and and I've enjoyed it more every time, but everyone is going to vote for it. So
5.5/four tet, daphni b2b floating points, avalon emerson 5.12/neil young 5.19/mannequin pussy 5.21/serpentwithfeet 5.25/hozier 6.12-16/bonnaroo 6.28/goose 6.29/goose 9.17/the national + the war on drugs 9.23/sigur ros 9.27-29/making time 10.17/air
FJM really does have a wonderful voice, and I'm not much of an audiophile the production on this album is absolutely superb.
Edit: Oops, just accidentally exited out of the tab it was playing in. Guess that's enough Misty for me tonight.

You should also check out the Hoops album, especially since you're going to SK. They're one of my favorite small band finds from that lineup
