I felt last nights episode focused on the rather insane people than Nathan doing his thing. Was an interesting change of pace compared to the Trivia episode where Nathan orchestrated a lot. Here, he just let the participants to their thing.
Nathan calling the parents for permission was amazing though.
Favorite thing I saw was someone pointed out that he was using numbers from his own speedometer for his numerology bullshit when he's the one driving the car.
Rewatched both episodes last night. Trisha's rambling and the actress's imitation of it was so funny to me this time. Also, shouldn't Robbin tell people he crashed his Scion at 99 MPH? That was bugging me.

All in all, Stone is frustrated that The Rehearsal cut his appearance down to only the “douchey” things he said and did. But he isn’t sure that he would have done or said anything differently.
when Thomas, one of the acting students, mentions that he doesn't like to lie and Nathan quickly responds with "yeah I don't lie" or something along those lines.
Starting to believe the mom is a plant because unlike Robbin, people haven't been able to find her social media nor have there been any interviews with the real person. Could be strict NDA but internet sleuths would have found that by now.
Unless the next episode is about NDA's which knowing Nathan, could be.
The thing that gives me pause is she would have to have never worked as an actress before or at least have no record of that, which seems kind of unlikely.

lol I think he said "I don't either", implying he doesn't like it but doesn't care and still wants the kid to lie too

I’m really worried that this thing isn’t going to stick the landing because I honestly have no idea what that would even look like at this point.
Possible. But also the finale of Nathan For You was arguably one of the best episodes ever. If they know what they have ahead of time they can edit it to fit a funny or epic finale
watched the first episode of this last night, it was great. i think it's more watchable and more fascinating than Nathan For You.
i know "genius" gets thrown around too much, so I'll just say I think Felder is operating on a different level than every other comedic entertainer. It's some new shit.
anyway watched it with my wife and while she laughed afterwards she said "yeah that show is just for you now". can't watch anymore, i understand, that happened to me with Nathan For You, but I'll press on with The Rehearsal.

This kind of show/humor is one where I will always say "I think it's the best shit going right now but completely understand not liking it" . And that's not even in a "you just don't get it" kind of way.
I just know I love the offbeat humor of people like Nathan Fielder, Jon Benjamin, Jon Glazer, etc. who all have worked together before getting bigger. I have a soft spot for multiple Tim & Eric projects but would never think someone saying it's too weird or to dumb/strange were wrong lol.
The Rehearsal is so damn good. Nathan Fielder has been involved in some of the few shows that make me laugh very loudly these days. And this one just kills me.
