damnit i missed it .... i hate when that happens. we have a challenge at every roo. we try to enjoy every single 420 of the whole festival. i have been succesful so far
Ahhh you have come up with a very good idea. I say an inforoo 4:20 sasha session for those who are still up and willing
which they will. i love deathreau. hes an east sider and ya gotta take your time with them actually i truly do enjoy debating with death. we agree on quite a bit and disagreee about alot too.. but we find a way to keep it friendly. and by the way.. hopefully they will busty out something amazing for roo. all of the other headliners i see having a bunch of guests and i dont think radiohead will have any. hopefully im wrong though, no matter waht i am excited to see them. they do seem to put on a farily consistent show. i dont know if thats a bad or good thing i guess it fdepends on what ya like

im down for the sasha 420 meetup. as long as im not dead of exhaustion by then
Well I figure that I'm going to have to get myself pumped up (mentally and physically) for Late Night, so a 4:20 will be necessary to either bring me down, or to keep me going, depending on how im feeling. I've never heard Sasha, but some late night trancedance sounds great to me
My point being "what you have seen" doesn't tell you what they'll do. It's just you forming opinions out of thin air.
This logic makes no sense. I Haven't seen the sun explode, but chances are I probably won't tommorow. Its not groundless speculation, it's the bands performance history which is as much evidence as any of us have to go on.
Radiohead is my favorite band, and the reason I'm coming to roo, and am very excited about seeing them. But realistically, they probably won't be playing longer than 2.5 hours alloted (I hope they fill that even) or collaborating at all. I hope they do, theres a chance, but there's also a chance the sun will explode tommorow...

I echo your sentiments man.
Actually I hope they don't have any guests during their show, but I could definitely see at least Jonny Greenwood joining in the Superjam. It would be a shame if he didn't.
i propose a new national holiday called "roo schedule day" it should be a time for friends and families to get together and grill out, listen to great music and get messed up. not a day at work trying to glance over as many times as you can and dreaming about that distant weekend in june

My main reasoning behind it is Bonnaroo seems to invite much more collaboration than other festivals, especially with the superjam. Radiohead hasn't been in a setting like this, so there's really no way of knowing.
Or to go along with your analogy....say the sun decided to take it's beautiful rays to another galaxy where the amazing atmosphere (I know there's no atmosphere in space, I'll need a little leeway!) routinely causes stars to explode.

Whew! My main prob is robert randolph during oysterhead. I've never seen robert randolph and was looking way forward to him...but i'm sure i'll be able to see him another time. Oysterhead on the other hand...
I was thinking the same problem with RR and O-head....I can definately catch RR in august with the black crowes and DBT and i will probably never get to see O-head again
I suppose if you really believe bonnaroo is that magical galaxy with an atmosphere, dreams can come true (the sun exploding, Jonny Greenwood being awesome outside RH, whatev). I've never been to 'Roo before, so I can't say how different it is from the other fests theyve played. Good point about them always being last to play though... Thom is way too moody and to be honest I doubt he would want to play with any of the jammy bands likely to prevail in the superjam. Jonny is a possibility... I'll pray with you...

NOW tell me my logic doesn't make sense
I could see Thom York doing a little voice jamming/screaming/droning to add to a crazy jam. Haha he would look like a little kid standing next to most of the other musicians.
in 6 hour this thread hass had almost 3000 views and 200 postings. do you guys think maybe we should change inforoo into a support group for roo addicted people?????
oh ya and i get what death is saying about the sun in foriegn atmospheres. i still dont think anythings gonna explode but i see the pooint your making. if anything explodes it will probably be my head

i think they should make a schedule for the cinema tent. if i knew they were showing dazed and confused or the big lebowski or somethng along those lines at like 5 am i would go check it out. you can sleep on monday when ya get home
I'm quite happy that Seu Jorge and Mike Gordon are playing on the same stage, back-to-back. Not having to move is great.
The Oysterhead vs. RRFB dilemma is tough even though I know who I'm going to see. I wonder if artists ever get angry if they're competing with a bigger name? Robert Randolph and Oysterhead have basically the same audience but I suspect more people will be at Oysterhead due to the exclusivity of the show. If I were RR I'd be pissed to have to compete with Oysterhead.
so it looks like they are having music during headliners. i might have to cut out of radiohead to go catch tishamingo. i really wanted to see them. they are at 10 so there is no way radiohead will be playing that short of a set. damn! i just noticed artvandaly is during rh too. i might end up not catching very much of radiohead after all

AHH! they totally f*cked me big time on Friday and Saturday
I really wanted to see Nickle Creek, but there is no way in hell I'm going to miss any minute of Oysterhead.. and that Beck/Blues Traveler/Cypress Hill/Les/MMW clusterf*ck is killing me!
Sunday is cool though, I have no major conflicts there...

sounds like you'd be missing out. I'm pretty sure those acts are during radiohead for a reason...
But what was the thinking behind putting RRFB during Oysterhead?? Theirs a few other slots they could've easily put robert randolph in...during bright eyes for instance
ya i agree. i think they were put there because they bring that jammy festival feel. they are both excellent. so if your implying that they were put up against radiohead because they suck i would have to whole heartedly disagree. its just somewhere for the jam heads that normally visit the roo have something to do if they are not into radiohead. i truly was hoping to see radiohead but i have a feeling the true party will be at the cafes. oh well i will catch some radiohead and if it is a great show i will stick around. if not atleast i have something great to do instead of chilling at camp listening to phish and wishing

Yeah, I'd say be there for the beginning and see how it goes. You should know after a few songs if you're going to like it. Probably a few seconds really.

Wow really? I mean no disrespect to you at all, but you'd even consider jamming Phish on headphones at Bonnaroo? I guess I understand, but you should really just stick at the Radiohead gig.
not at all...you wont offend me.... i didnt mean that was my plan for radiohead. but if it got to be too much for me to take i would have gone back to camp and put on some music for sure. i thought widespread didnt really bring it last year and ended up having a eating/resting up party at the campsite.
im not sure where the headphones came in either. i

that was actually in respone to valium soup. your post came up the sametime when i posted it. and a question. why is it that your posts take up a whole screen when it only says ok??
