We used galas. I think the milk stout neutralized some of the sweetness, and made it a little creamy. I'll bet granny smiths would be pretty good,I use those for apple cinnamon cobbler. They're too tart for me raw but baked they're great.

Two weeks from today my girlfriend and I will board a plane headed for Europe! It'll be the first time I've left the country as an adult and I could not be more excited to go on a big adventure with the lady that I love. All of our planes/trains/rooms are booked and we've got an idea of what kind of stuff we want to do so the only thing left to do is wait.
Oh and we've got tickets to see Flying Lotus in Brussels sooooo pretty excited about that too.

In the spirit of billybaroo's TIN platform, I would like to counter my grr from the other day and say that I am at a local festival with the lady friend, the weather is gorgeous, the music is great and I am feeling really great about everything.
Spent 15 hours workin' fer the local area productions company, on what is normally my day off, on some two hours and change of sleep from bartendin' the night before, and yet was still awake enough to have a drink at the end of an incredibly long day!
And I work with them again on Saturday fer Bryan Adams!
