My simulation got canceled today so I'm home and in my jamjams. WHOOOOHOOOOOO!!! (even if I did have to drive all the way to school before it was canceled)

I was finally able to book my flight for roo tonight! The best part is my boyfriend is willing to drive me to an airport that is a few hours away. It saves me $400. I am in tears for so many reasons, but mostly because someone is willing to do this for me.
So after months of thinking I was not going to be able to make it back to The Farm, one of my good friends changed his mind and can go now, Roo wont interfere too harshly with my summer class, and I have the finances worked out!!!! It was so many different variables that had to line up, but I'm so stoked to be going back for ROUND 2!!!!!!
In one hour my girlfriend and I will head to the airport and jet off to Amsterdam! Then A bunch of places in Belgium! Then Paris! It's the farthest I will have ever been away from home! I'm a liiiittle nervous but incredibly excited! I've used an exclamation point in every sentence so far!
I know I've never met any of y'all personally but if you want to see snapchats or instagram photos from my adventures my username on both is maxfieldnewell.

But, if I'm being completely honest, I'm usually baked when I'm baking soooo... It's a bit of a double entendre.

Worked two doubles the last three days. Walked to and from work a total of ten hours. Found out that we have mice living in between the basement (where I live) and the living room on the main floor. Oh but ladies and gentlemen: Tomorrow I don't work. I'm gonna buy concert tickets. I'm gonna begin to eradicate this mouse situation. I'm gonna clean the entry way. I'm gonna listen to some serious tunes. Whether this all happens or not is another thing entirely, but boy oh boy am I excited about the prospect.

Also, if you're still in Paris, go to L'as du Falafel in the Marais (best felafel and shawarma in the world, better than Israel) and Le Relais Venise de L'Entrecote near the Porte Maillot metro stop (arrive 15 minutes before they open- they don't take reservations and there will be a line. But it's worth it).

Cat's are pretty indifferent towards me. I think they can smell my irreverence.

GASPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!! I THINK I KNOW THAT ONE! There were 2 or 3 all on the same block, but I think that one was my favorite too! I brought ALL my visitors to it to get falafel when they visited me. And then we'd walk by the bakery that had penis breads with poppy seeds for pubic hair in it's window.
EDIT: I don't remember any line at that one-or any other- but I was there on '05-'06.

When we knew we were probably going to be moving to Las Vegas, but before I officially got approval, our lease was expiring on our apartment and we had to decide whether to renew for six months and probably have to break the lease or go month-to-month and pay an extra $300 in rent until we got approval to move. I could not get a straight answer out of my boss as to a time frame for when I would need to move. It was one of the most frustrating times of my adult life.

She is glad to have another week to get things in order, but not knowing is wearing on her. She has final things to move out of her apt that she can't move until she is almost gone. She is also wanting to make more concrete plans with people that she can't do with her departure up in the air.

Today was one of the few days at work that I didn't totally hate my job. We were busy, but I was able to have my phone out and socialize through technology, watch Netflix and listen to music. Tonight was 12 hour shift, 11pm-11am, and I got to sit the vacation station for the entire 12 hours. It was basically the perfect shift and reminds me how cushy my job can be and how there are some days where I really don't hate everything.
And bonus points for the trainee on first shift (my 7a-11a OT) being required to answer all phones. Which means I not only don't have to answer phones, but I'm encouraged not to. And because I'm sitting LEADS (aforementioned vacation station) I don't even have to give breaks. It's all Parks & Rec for the next four hours. BOOM.
TL;DR- I did nothingish at work tonight and didn't hate everything.
i'm getting rid of/donating things around my house again. today, i took a little pile of books to half price books and got $17 for them. i used that $17 to buy a new copy of d'angelo's "black messiah." my first vinyl purchase for the turntable that's currently being shipped to me!
So boyfriend is offshore and just texted me asking me about the cost difference and possibility of upgrading to VIP for bonnaroo... So not only am I going to bonnaroo, we are going to be VIP!! I am ecstatic!

The family trip just got moved from the beach to in town AND I only have to deal with her parents for a few hours.
