As of next week, I will only be working 4 days a week, and will be off every Friday I've been having a lot of anxiety lately, and I feel like this may a help a lot. I will have less money, and need to be more careful on how I spend it, but it's worth it for my sanity!!

bought mo pop tickets just before they went up 20 bones. yay! gf and i wanted to see the head and the heart this year, and weren't making it to shaky knees or red rocks.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
I had a pretty crap day today overall but I'm going to focus on the highlight of the day here: Martha Quinn tweeted at me. I had such a crush on her when I was a kid...
Basically, to sum things up, I'm pretty freaking excited right now.
Congratulations!!!!
Those pictures take me down memory lane...can't believe this May will make two years since I was down under. Scuba diving in the Great Barrier Reef is an experience you will never forget.
Monie, looks like a real bummer of a time. Wanna trade fer a 'Roo ticket?
The funny thing is that were going the weekend of Roo too. So as Cap'n Mac pointed out to me, we'll probably be diving as the Friday night headliner is taking stage, because time zones.

Eeekkkkkkk. I'm so excited. He got us a package that includes a day on a boat with a couple of 30 or 45 minute dives and unlimited snorkeling. Or something like that, he's not being very forthcoming with some details because he wants it to be a "surprise". Personally, I feel surprises are overrated.
We are staying near the boardwalky area, starts with an E? I forget what it's called. But any suggestions of things to do actually in Cairns? We've got day trips planned, but neither of us have been so open to insight about what's actually in Cairns itself!
After being out of work in my field for almost 8 months, I have accepted a job offer. It will require me to move (again....grrr) but the money is very good, and I like the people and practice. The new position will be in SW GA very near Tallahassee (about 30 mins away)....also 1 1/2 hrs from Spirit of the Suwanee Music Park.
I am so ready for some normalcy I can't stand it. I have really been through the wringer but maybe I can start recovering.

Our study-abroad group stayed at Gilligan's while in Cairns...which is pretty much a night-life college resort. One of the wildest places I have stayed at.
Once the sun went down, I was either there or at the casino.

Hey hey, I told ya the deets last night! You get 5 hours in the water, which includes three dives at three different spots. It doesn't say how long the dives are - I'd guess 30 minutes or so. Plus unlimited snorkelling and yacht lounging and a nice lunch. Did I mention there's a bar on board, too?

At first I was like, aww man... we should've stayed there! But then I realised it's a mere three blocks from us. We can easily stagger our way back home. Thanks for the suggestion!
Was invited to the Nursing honor society this week AND just got a text that I can have Sunday off if I want. I HATE working weekends so this is a super yay!!!
Sigma Theta Tau? congratulations! Wish I could come pin you

To the wonderful souls that make this place a little brighter when it needs light, you are on my mind today. Thanks for taking time to be less like the rest of us, and more like yourselves.
This old porch is just a long time waiting and forgetting And remembering the coming back, not crying about the leaving And remembering the falling down and the laughter of the curse of luck From all those son's of bitches who said we'd never get back up
So much to write, so little time to do so. My head is spinning with all the stuff I have to do before Thursday morning when we leave for Augusta. But I have A LOT of YAYS to share too.
I got a call from Augusta Thursday afternoon that one of the test results came out wonky, and they wanted to retest. I have been a wreck all weekend. But I just found out, as expected, all is well. So we are still on for Friday. I didn't have the heart to say anything to Becky about it. We surprised her with our BYOK shirts Saturday & it was such a success. Her & her 3 boys loved them.
We had a very lovely church service yesterday, where the church gathered around us to pray success. We don't go often, but it meant a lot.
I was able to talk to & show Dabo the shirts in person this weekend, and I got hugs two days in a row from him. I do love my Clemson family.
Totally spent the weekend enjoying the beautiful weather, spending time with my family & friends. Yes, I didn't clean my house like I wanted to, but I'd rather have these memories than a clean house. Any day.
Got to spend a lot of time so many inforooers over the past week or so. Dancing & laughing & eating & golf cart riding & hiking & holding babies. I am a lucky lady. fawnmart , quacker , Scrog , sugarhigh , @zenfnp , Mike D , chefchick , mojoworks , mrs_sang , Siggy , pennyroo , o'neil , & G - loved the time we spend together!
I am overwhelmed by the gifts, notes, messages I am receiving. I really have no words. Except how much I love you guys.

She's another rabid Clemson fan. Her facebook is basically all things Clemson, with tons of pictures of her with the coach and players. (Even more than yours!) I want sure how tight-knit that community was. Anyways, I used to work for her husband.
I'd been having trouble shifting gears in my car lately. Pushing in the pedal didn't fully disengage my clutch. There is a part on my car that is notorious for wearing out and causing this problem. It's a relatively cheap part, but I'd have to pull the transmission to swap it out which is a time consuming PITA, to the point that if I had it off I'd go the whole 9 and swap out my clutch too. Which would set me back about 6-700 and two days of frustration. Or I pay someone to do it and add another 6-700 for labor or forego the clutch swap to save money on parts.
Well, as part of a temporary fix I was adjusting my pedal to give it more travel, in the hopes that would fully disengage clutch so I can drive around til I get my swap finished. Turns out there is a plastic clip that holds the pedal to the clutch linkage, and mine broke (who'da thunk a piece of plastic in a high tension linkage was a good idea?). So there was a bit of lateral play that allowed the linkage to get somewhat misaligned, causing my clutch engagement issues. A 50 cent cotter pin from Lowe's solved my problem. Drove to work this morning and shifted smooth as butter. This is wonderful news, because I really really did t want to spend that money or do that work.

The lady friend had scheduled a trip back this weekend a few weeks ago. In the interim, she found out that her boss was pushing to go ahead and move her back to Knoxville as the contract winds down. She just found out that, instead of coming back this weekend for a visit, her time in California will be coming to an end after 286 days!!!! Needless to say, this weekend is gonna get wild with the celebrations.
