I have just sent all the paperwork off to get pre-approved and put an offer in on a house. My landlord has been crazier since she decided to sell, and this is officially the first step to getting out from the tyranny of the crazy bitch. Now just for the pre-approval to go through and the homeowner to accept my offer. I can't believe I am so excited about sending in paperwork.
Let me venture a guess--your "crazy bitch" landlord is a HUGE Pearl Jam fan. Hence your disapproval of her. But hope your approvals go through
I wish it was only that, that's an easily forgivable offense.
a job opportunity has presented itself which will be a 2 level promotion and a huge career move. It would require moving however. Soft pitched it to my daughter last night (who was very very opposed to ever leaving this area 6 months ago) I expected a flat out no followed by waterworks. Instead I got "Sounds like a fun adventure. I would be ok with it" Talk about a weight lifted off my shoulder. Now I can apply with zero guilt
Is this what the "I have an awesome daughter- more to come later" post was about? (and yay for you!!!)
It was! It was the most mature talk we've had. She has pretty bad anxiety so I usually tread pretty lightly around things like this until I know I need to break it to her. Its definitely not set in stone so I didnt want to cause panic attacks about something that may or may not happen but I wanted to get the ball rolling and work needed an initial decision if I was throwing my name in the hat

Yay for you! Is it a move somewhere cool?
Unfortunately no. It would be around Cincinnati. right across the border in KY. It would be a stepping stone, not a final destination. and Thank you!

Waiting for the pre-approval. I feel sick to my stomach. This is the most stressful thing ever.

Randomly pulled the Orange Peels website just a minute ago. Saw that Louie CK is booked to do two shows tonight. Those for sure not listed at lunch today, so I grabbed a couple tickets. Yayyyyy!

What area of town are you looking at?
I am staying in Algiers. New Aurora area to be exact. We have the house all picked out and I know I will be pre-approved, but right now it is just waiting on the lender to run the numbers and get it done. I am stressed the fuck out. I hate this so much.
Work has given me another 6 months, with the option to keep renewing. The move to NY is still what they want, but I'm grateful they are keeping me on remotely. Good news is I've been on track to pay off bills by July, in case they didn't renew things. So that's a YAY too.
I went to Planned Parenthood and got STD tested for the first time ever. Won't get the full results for a week or so, but I am HIV Negative. She answered all my questions and I left feeling very confident in my sexual health. I'm definitely going to become more aware of my sexual health moving forward.
Btw, if any dudes out there have ever been hesitant to go get tested, GO DO IT! It was simple and quick. I peed in a cup, got some blood drawn, and a finger prick. No pee hole reaming. No penis exposure. And only a $75 copay. It's so worth the peace of mind.
I am finally officially pre-approved. We are putting a bid in on the house today! I can't believe it is finally happening.
Couple pieces of advice: 1. If you see something online, inquire ASAP. Houses are going fast, in some cases getting deposits in under 24 hours of them being on market.
I went to an open house about a year ago, and there was an offer accepted before the open house officially ended. We went to our agent's office to draft an offer and found out one was already accepted before we even got to the office.
2. Prepare to overbid asking price by 5k-10k. My house, asking was 230k. Several offers were at least 235k. We went 238k. The house from above paragraph, that was sold like 8k-10k over asking.
3. It's totally stressful but will be worth it. Good luck.

They already accepted an offer from someone else. Where I am at, houses haven't been moving fast, but this one was mostly renovated and priced to move. I am heartbroken.
So I got a pretty darn near new car the other day. Yay car payments again?
What did you get??
Decent deal on a 2014 Ford Focus hatchback. I think 17000 with financin', taxes, etc. it's the newest car I've ever owned. Mostly I'm just glad to have a radio again!
last night my man got an offer at the same agency as me in pittsburgh, his best friend also got a full time offer (he's graduating in may), AND I just bought my first pair of concert tickets for p-burgh to see bob moses AND m83!!!

This gives me a good juncture to say that I love your series of snaps of him snapping things.

bahaha yaaassss!! he hates it. it's why they've all become so blurry lately.
just wait until the final product is complete. side-by-side images of my snaps of him snapping a snap next to the pic that he snapped while I was snapping him.

If it makes him feel any better, one of the reasons I like them so much is because I relate. I remember one recent snap where he is on the ground in order to frame something up right, and my first thought was, "I have totally done that shit before."

Where can we find this? I'm assuming it will be published as a coffee table book.

I have actually joked about doing that and giving copies to all of our classmates when we graduate next year. bahaha
I got a major promotion at work today and I start at my new position on May 16. Big thanks to billybaroo for helping me with my resume. Your help made a big difference!
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.
