Wednesday is my day to go over to Becky's to help out. I take the guys to youth at church then go back to hang with Becky. Yesterday I walk in to see her walking around the kitchen, dressed in jeans/sweatshirt/tennis shoes, hair done. I almost start crying. That was the first time in 2 months (to the day!) that I had gone over there & not found her in bed & in pjs. I have my friend back!

Clinical hours complete, last paper turned in, bestie comes in town tomorrow to help celebrate. I am done with nursing school my friends!!! I can not explain the relief I feel. Time to get my life back. To get my sanity back. To remind my son and husband that I really DO exist!!! oh and to start finally planning and getting ready to roo!!!
Mrs. Snowman is attending this year. She went with me '09-'11 and skipped '12 to stay home with our bonnababy. Returned in '13 before swearing it off "forever" for smaller crowds and less travel. But LCD is bringing her back. I forgot how much fun it was to have someone to talk to/plan with IRL. Got home from work and she was hoopin to Bob Moses on the roo mix she made.
I'm currently at the Austin airport waiting to check-in for my flight to Sydney!!! In like 27 or so hours I'll be reunited with my love!!! I literally can't contain my excitement. I look like a crazy person sitting here on my bags, in front of an empty check-in countier, with a huge ass smile on my face.
I'm coming for you Cap'n Mac! Imma be there soooo sooooon!!!!!
(apparently Virgin Airline's counter opens 2 hours before their first flight departs. and apparently I'm on their first flight, which leaves in 2.5 hours)

This summer is going to be absolutely fucking bananas at work. In fact, it officially started today. At 5 p.m. today I got three requests that all had to be done immediately. Fortunately they are all super easy and I get paid hourly. So I'm just sitting here doing easy stuff and getting time and a half. This will inevitably turn into a grrr but it'll be nice to have extra cash for a while.
Oh and I might have to live in New York for the month of August because of this project. That'll be a fun adventure. And if I pitch it right my travel will coincide with Panorama.
4 AM and I just ordered tickets to knock out a bucket list band. It was the first group that introduced me to weird. They aren't from the US and never ever tour. I'm literally freaking the fuck out

The Dead C. While not their classic by any means, Trap Door F*cking Exit is the one that started me down this path.
$90 for a two day festival (with camping)?!? Plus I get to see Kool Keith and Thomas Jefferson Slave Apartments again. I'm beyond stoked. I even went and bought a one person tent for the occasion.

Had a phone interview last week and just got the call that they've offered me the position!
It's for a hydrologic technician job with the BLM (I'm working for the man, surfbum!).
Basically doing a bunch of field work in the middle if nowhere Idaho. Only a temporary 3 month seasonal position, but it gets my foot in the door to federal hydro jobs. And I get to spend all summer out in some amazing country.
The cherry on top? Start date us June 27th, so still a go for Bonnaroo!
Now just have to figure out the best way to tell my boss. Because I'd like to pick up some more oil field work when I come back (assuming prices hold above $40/bbl).

apparently i won ticket to bloc party and the vaccines tonight. i wish they would've told me this, like, yesterday. lol. nashville is 2-3 hours from me. hope this works out, lol. fingers crossed.

My roommate moved out recently. It took me a minute to get all the essential stuff for my apartment but now it's finally coming together. I'm VERY excited for how the living room looks now, I've got a lot of fun new kitchen toys AND I moved all my stuff into the bigger bedroom. I don't want to get ahead of myself here but I think I've turned it into a pretty solid bachelor pad.
On top of all that, tomorrow morning I'm going to hop on a plane to Denver to visit some of my best friends. They moved out there in September and this is the first time I'm going to visit them in their new home. We're camping this weekend then hitting My Morning Jacket at Red Rocks. Both of those things are bucket list items for me.
I also have a date tonight that I'm pretty excited about. That'll be fun.
