Smelly why do all your posts now end in "Save Save"?

rather bizarre connection, but I deleted the button and the 'save save' seems to have gone away.
One of my favorite pattern designers just asked me to join her group of pattern testers, so I get to try out the pattern and give feedback before it's released for sale (and I get free patterns)!
And my bag that I sewed for my first pattern test for her is going to be on the cover of the pattern when it is released! And I'm sending her the bag and she's going to feature it at a sewing retreat that she is hosting!

Ha! Too bad this conversation happened just as I was leaving for OBH. I lead the core users group for the software that send most of the emails for the College, house the event registrations, runs donation pages, etc. and I had a user who had that same "save save" problem a few months ago. I called App Support, and the first thing they said was, "what kind of plug-ins does the user have? Pinterest by any chance?" It was also adding a ton of random code to the emails which made other things error (even here there seems to be a lot of extra code if you quote it). So it's not just Proboards. Pin It screws up a lot!

More job yays! My fiance was flown out to Michigan for the last 2 days and got offered an AWESOME job, 40% salary increase and signing and yearly bonus muthafuckas!!! I am so happy. Him being laid off was a blessing in disguise because he's finally going to get paid what he's worth.
Can't wait to pick him up from the airport in a couple hours and celebrate with STEAK.

Forgot the most important part! I'll be over marketing/advertising for a high-end furniture outfit. Will be marking almost 10% more than what I counter with when I had an offer from a different company an hour outside of Asheville (which all fell though, obviously).

Monday was a holiday, and we were out of work on administrative leave today because we are moving into our new building. Just called the info line and they didn't finish the move so we have another administrative leave day tomorrow!

I'm bad at planning a route for a trip and tend to just trust my phone gps to tell me where to go. Today, it took me over some mountains with very curvy, very steep roads that, at one point, went down to one lane and no cell service. So, yay for not being dead or stranded on the side of a mountain right now! And yay that there's a different route I can take when I go home!

I love finding remote back roads, they can make for a very enjoyable drive.
I'm bad at planning a route for a trip and tend to just trust my phone gps to tell me where to go. A lot of it was actually really nice. I was driving from Las Vegas to Bishop, CA, so the scenery was beautiful, and it was a perfect, clear day. I would just have preferred not to be by myself while I was driving in some of the scarier spots.
Cap'n Mac booked his flight last night to come see me!!! He'll be here for over 3 weeks- including my graduation!!! I'm so excited! Eekkkk!!!! 57 more days till we're back together! <3

That's awesome! I do find it funny that he's booked to be in town pretty much right as I leave...again! I think this makes it the last 3 times he's been in TX? I'll hopefully be leaving for Idaho sometime in the last week of April, which if I did my math correctly, is when he's arriving.

short version: I just got asked to do a small freelance project with an agency I'm really interested in!!!
long back story: my grad program hosts weekly forum presentations with influential people in our industry. 2nd year students can apply to host speakers they're interested in - so you are like their ambassador during their visit. I hosted our speaker last week and she's a boss woman that opened her own strategy consultancy a few years ago. she actually spoke to my undergrad class like 5 years ago (in south dakota!!) and was a big reason I ended up pursuing the discipline I'm in. anyway, we really hit it off and she hinted about mini freelance projects they give to prospective talent and referenced a guy that graduated last year who did one and then became a regular freelancer for them. she said they would have hired him had he not taken the other offer he had. so I applied to their current project and just got asked to take it on! honestly might puke from nervousness. even if it doesn't directly lead to a job, if I do well it'll open the door to all of her connections - and she's got a lot of them.
low key yay: thanks inforoo for letting me have a place to share my excitement. even though we're all good friends in my program, people still get jealous and there is passive aggressive competitiveness (it's totally understandable! just sucks sometimes) - so I can't really share this with my friends at school without looking like a dick.
but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
