Great day at work and I’ve got extremely exciting things in the making (hopefully exciting for the board too wink wink), had a killer workout, finally got to the point in Brooklyn 99 where Jake and Santiago get together, destroyed 11 year olds in Fortnite with my friends, and matched with the single hottest girl on Hinge
I just got an interview for a job at Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab.
It's just a first interview of probably many, but I applied a couple months ago and never heard anything. So getting an email out of the blue asking to set up an interview time next week is super exciting. My career right now is highly dependent on grant funding, and my national science foundation money runs out in April. So while I haven't been super stressed (i know my boss/department will help me out) this is a good sign!

Found out that my boyfriend’s brother is going to be having a little baby girl at the end of summer! They’ve been trying to have a baby for SO LONG and it’s finally happening and we’re all so fucking happy for them.

My buddy is moving out and my apartment complex is letting us upgrade to a 3 man to finish out our lease. Only $100 more for twice the square footage and a mountain view

I'm trying really hard to keep my excitement and expectations low. I haven't even told any friends here that I'm interviewing. The only people who know are Jack, my mom and one of my little brothers. And he only knows because he called me right after my interview and I was excited.

Update:
They're renovating the apartment now so we'll have nice, new stainless steel appliance, new countertops, and cabinets that not only look nice, but actually work (unlike my current ones). We'll also have brand new flooring that's darker so I won't have to clean it as much. Very excited for this move.
