Con Ed has apparently been over-billing me for at least a year
It's because they can never get access to this stupid building to actually READ the meter, and it's been driving me CRAZY
Well, the other day, I was apparently FINALLY able get them access, though I had no idea my crazy plan actually worked until just now
Fast-Forward to today
I opened my electric bill, not thinking anything about it, just looking for the Amount Due, when lo and behold, and much to my jawdropping surprise, it says
Adjustments/Credits -$335.35
In complete disbelief, I immediately went online to my account
Currently you have a credit balance of $335.35.
When was the last time you went to pay one of your bills... but instead, they paid YOU
Moral Conservation = Good Estimated bills = Bad Today = AWESOME!
I feel like I just won the utility lottery or something
YAY! A girl that I work with and don't particularly like just put in her two weeks notice! I'm usually not trivial when it comes to work-people, but this girl is someone that I wouldn't get along with in the regular world either.
But I am a bit torn because I foresee a problem: my other remaining co-worker and myself are both supposed to go to Bonnaroo. If we both go, that will just leave my boss here. I asked off for my time in November so I certainly hope I get to keep it!!

Yay for a simply amazing weekend on the beach at Hangout. Wolfaroo managed to gather a few more peeps and we had a grand ole time. Only 3 more weeks until Roo.

Yay for kindness begetting kindness! I gave up my swimming lane in the warm pool to a woman who was waiting and didn't want to swim the cold pool. I'm fine swimming laps in either pool so I'm pretty flexible on switching if necessary. I hopped over to a lane in the cold pool, she took my lane in the warm pool and then she invited another little old man to share the lane with her so he wouldn't have to wait for a lane to open. I love it when sharing cascades into more sharing!

YAY! I finally nailed down our roo logistics tonight. Our group was being split up going onto the farm due to my bff's class getting out last Wednesday night. The other half of our crew offered to bring my ez-up and tent in and bring them to tent only. They will be waiting for us when we arrive Thursday. My roo crew is awesome! Less than 3 weeks now!
that is a huge YAY. rashes are weird things but the way his was spreading sounded like some sort of allergic reaction. Still, with his history could've been something nasty. So glad you went to Vandy ER

as for me, one more week on my job and then a week off, start orientation on a new job for 3 days then off for Roo! woo hooo! So excited about the new gig.
YAY for my friend that was able to replace the screen on my camera! So now I don't have to buy a new one!!!
And another YAY for spending time with some lovely inforoo ladies this weekend: dreamingtree, TheDruid, Popsicle Sarah and superbek! You ladies are da bomb!

Yay for getting another tax check the other day. I didn't even read why I got it, but it was an extra $200 in my pocket which was quickly spent on a monopod and quick release mount for my camera.

Dr. GF got a letter today 6 weeks after she filed for an EB2 permanent residency, we literally filed her biometric fingerprints with homeland security 10 days ago. Here is the text of the e-mail she recieved today along with a scan of the paperwork. You guys have no idea how big a deal this is to us she is from a predominately muslim country (She is a lapsed Buddhist) and we thought the times square thing was really going to hurt this.
xxxxxx congratulations - your permanent residence case has been approved. I am attaching copies of the approval notices for the I-140 immigrant petition and the I-485 permanent residence application. USCIS will mail the actual permanent residence card directly to your home address in the next few days so you should check your mail carefully. We will be sending you a letter summarizing your rights and duties as a US permanent resident in the next day or so.

She does not Bonnaroo, she went to Shpongle with Druid and I once though.
