YAY!!! my 10th grader just got an 85 on her chemistry final. Takes a huge weight off her shoulders and in turn mine. I have held her hand all year through the class...had to relearn some in the process myself.
I just got handed two slots on the guestlist at BB King's tonight for a show that I didn't even know was happening until this morning when I got to work
Larry Freaking Graham and Graham Central Freaking Station!!!!!!!!!
It's part of BB's 10th aniversary celebration, AND my friend who works there who gave me the tix, she hinted to me in an email that... rumor has it, ... PRINCE is in town and happens to be GREAT friends with Mr. Graham
NOT that I need Prince to show up for GCS to be FREAKING AWESOME or anything... but just imagine if he DID
Yeah, Larry hardly ever does shows, and it's ESPECIALLY rare under the GCS moniker... never thought I'd get the chance!
MY GOD I AM SOOOOOO FREAKING EXCITED, LIKE A KID ON CHRISTMAS...
MAY THE FUNK BE WILL YOU ALLLLLLLLLLLL INFOROOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

^ Yeah, I KNOW, right? ;D
And it gets even BETTER because I just got an email from my sweet wonderful lovely lady friend over there (who's already married damnit! ) that we should get there 1 hour early tonight because the dinner is being COMPED! (and BB's costs a NOT SMALL FORTUNE, by the way)
Of course this goes both ways here and I just returned the favor to her with two free surprise Billy Elliot tickets, which she said had her screaming Yippppeeeeee! and jumping up and down in her office, upon opening my email ;D
This is making me feel SO MUCH BETTER now, after being terribly depressed about missing Roo all last week until today, way more than I thought I would be.
There sure is nothing that'll bring you out of that funk faster than some Sweaty Kickass FUNK
yay i got to see phish in hartford tonight for free
how incredible is that? congratulations! they're only going to be 10 minutes from me on July 4 and I can't even find a ticket to buy for less than a good portion of my house payment
YAY for working with such a great group of ER docs. today we were pretty slow for a good while and one of them led a mini yoga class in the trauma room. 20 minutes worth and we were rejuvenated for the rest of our shifts.

Just go to the show. You'll be able to find one in the lot. Just go early like around 3-4pm or whenever the lot opens. Hell you'll have fun even if you don't go into the show. When they play Deer Creek, Shakedown is bigger than Bonnaroo's fakedown . It's an awesome site to see if you've never experienced a Phish show.

Yay for cute male nurses who know how to cure Bonnaflu! I finally decided to visit the Minute Clinic at the mall and found out I have bronchitis. The nurse prescribed me an inhaler and antibiotics. He was really nice and I felt like he actually cared about my health. Also, yay for state run health insurance! I only pay $4 a month for my health insurance and my co-pay today was $3. I only had to pay $3 for my prescriptions. Plus I got a really cool yoga kit in the mail yesterday for free from my health insurance. It came with 2 DVDs, a water bottle, a yoga mat and a backpack. I highly suggest looking into health insurance from the state if you can't afford health insurance on your own.
My brother proposed to his girlfriend this weekend and she said yes! Yay!
Then again, this leaves me as the last bachelor of my siblings... which means I have maybe 2-3 years tops before I start getting harassed about tying the knot as well... so maybe not so much 'yay'

^^I've been getting harrassed for years now. I am the last single member of my family besides my younger brother and sister (18 and 16). I'm staying single to spite my mother.

YAY, for Grace Potter and the Nocturnals being added to the ACL lineup. Just yesterday I was talking about how sad I was that I wouldn't get to see her in concert this year and today this. Hooray for good karma!

She's playing All Good on Sunday. You're going, right?
YAY for finally catching up with technology a little bit. After using the same CRT TV from Wal-Mart for over a decade, I got a flat HD TV last week and I just upgraded my semi-trusty old Nokia for a Slightly-Smarter phone. Man I am really gonna miss txting with the good ol T9.

Thanks for reminding me. I'm hitting so many festies this year that I actually completely forgot she was playing there. I've been focusing mainly on where Phoenix is playing and blocking everyone else out.
