YAY for getting my Roger Waters ticket! BOO for having to drive into Boston to get it.
YAY for finding cheap parking! BOO for TicketBastard for having such a shitty system that I had to drive into the city at all.
YAY for the fact that even with two hours at a parking garage in downtown Boston, I still saved money by buying tickets in person! BOO for the fact that TicketBastard charges fees that could buy me dinner.
YAY for it randomly being Hempfest on the Boston Common! BOO for me forgetting to bring my corn so I could celebrate with everyone else.
YAY for getting to browse vinyl and DVD's at Newbury Comics! BOO for not wanting to buy anything because I'd just spent money on a ticket.
YAY for having my car back! BOO for having to pay $800 in repairs.
One more sleep until I get my inforooster fix with a visit from Holls and Mayo! And then two more sleeps before I get a big inforooster fix on Saturday!
I went clothes shopping this weekend, and yay for dropping a waist size in jeans in a month! Whadda ya know, this diet and exercise stuff actually works!
So, my BFF of the past 15 years is a DJ, and he's gotten fairly big since he first started. Both Ajax and Dan Whitford were early mentors, and he's gone on to work with / open for some pretty famous acts, such as MSTRKRFT and Midnight Juggernauts. Anyway, he and his buddy Andy Webb (of Disco Delicious fame) recently co-founded an independent record label called Death Strobe Records - with none other than Peter Saville of Factory Records fame as their right-hand man - and they are about to have their first vinyl release! YAY! And they have several more vinyl releases lined up, including the new Danimals album, with its lead single produced by none other than Mark Ronson! YAY!

The guy who has been stayng at our apartment because he lost his job in July and his wife told him she wanted a divorce in October got a job today! Yay!!!
Yay! for last day of work before vacation. Going to Bruins vs. Canadiens game tonight, the Rural Alberta Advantage show tomorrow then off to NYC, Tampa, Orlando, Philli, and back to NYC. It's gonna be a great 2 1/2 weeks.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

Yay for a new lady friend. She is exactly what I have been looking for. She's 25, a therapist, extremely intelligent,hilarious, beautiful, she sees as many shows as I do, if not more. I've never had more in common with a female before. wow. So easy to be with her.
If I see any of you at a festie this summer, I'll introduce her to you.
