this is the tat on my wrist...got it almost 3 years ago now
i couldn't find a picture of the one on my back...i'm sure its on my external HD, but i'm too lazy to hook it up right now.
i do plan on having my third tat done sometime in the very near future(hopefully before roo). its going to be a daisy in grey scale on my inside left ankle...its in remembrance of my grandmother who passed away on my birthday last year. this is the picture i want it to look like...

story behind it? you don't have to say if you don't want to.
Most people think it is just a Radiohead tattoo, and don't inquire further. I'll let you in on it for asking so nicely. It's a message. Having it face me, on my right wrist, I can always look at it. The crying minotaur is for my first best friend, Nicole. I moved away from my original home town in fifth grade, and I lost contact with Nicole over the years. One day, the summer after we were both due to graduate, I called her house and asked her dad if Nicole was home. He asked who was calling, and when I said my name all he could say was, "I'm so sorry." He explained that Nicole had died in a car accident a month prior. I never said goodbye, and to this day that fact stings. Very hard. The tattoo was my (eventual) closure, and the minotaur crying is how I get whenever I talk about it, including right now. "Immerse your soul in love" is a constant reminder to love my friends, and remember where I came from. This tattoo is very personal to me.
The design and words are from Radiohead, my favorite band. The crying minotaur was featured heavily on the artwork for Amnesiac (my favorite Radiohead album). "Immerse your soul in love" is probably one of the most chilling vocal melodies I have ever heard, from the Radiohead song "Street Spirit (Fade Out)".

i'm so sorry about your loss. thank you so much for sharing that meaning. people have told me that time heals all wounds but i'm still investigating that one myself. thank you again.

Two and a half years hasn't done much. I do look back on how cool she was when I knew her, though, and smile. A lot. But thanks for the kind words.
you're welcome. my mom passed away two days before roo last year. i try not to bring it up on the boards but, i guess i just wanted to let you know i've been there. i didn't get to say goodbye. seeing someone else push through it always makes me feel as if it's possible for me to do the same.

It's quite alright, I brought death into the love fest first.
Now for a picture of the happiest man in the world:
this is all i have. i have been wanting to get another one since i got this in 2000. it means friendship and my two best friends and i all got the same thing.
sweet tat. that's awesome you guys got something together
thanks. i told myself the only way ill get a tat is if it means something. i guess i just haven't found anything that means enough to do it again. one of these days.
ps love the star on the inside of your wrist...ive almost got a nautical star on the side of my rib cage but didn't because i broke up with her!!
thanks. my star has to do with an ex. but i got it after we broke up, my way of getting over it. if that makes any sense
wow, that's really interesting... because that's the reason i got mine. it had been over 2 year and i still wasnt over my 5 year relationship, and i said.. "that's it. im getting this tattoo and im gonna be done with it." it's his handwriting. i got it from a letter he wrote to me.
but yeah, no one understands it. so i usually dont tell them. ive never met anyone who's gotten one for the same reason.
