I'm excited to see some sick work there. This is the guy from my shop who I would guess is going to be there. risingtidestudio.com/bunny.html My appointment in February is the last of my tattoo funds for a while, though.
It's official, I will be there! Appointment with Kristel Oreto, still waiting on reply from another artist, I am told he can take a while to respond, so that comforted me lol
Got an appointment with Myke Chambers right after my other, so that night will be painful (i've spent $300 on deposits, 0.o)! Hotel is booked, too. YAY.

I have an appointment with Ian White (used to be at Black 13) on Tuesday afternoon.
He did my treble clef tattoo and also my hubby's half sleeve. We love him. He looks a little intimidating but is a sweet teddy bear kind of guy and a great artist. ianwhitetattoos.com/
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
thanks sister! it is my own handwriting which i really like.
i felt like kind of a tool awhile back b/c for YEARS i wanted a lyric from idioteque instead of this one and then i realized i had no idea WTF thom was saying. good thing i looked it up before i had it tattooed on my skin. hahaha
Emily Effler-Bond at Standard Ink in Chattanooga. I was nervous about this area, but felt like a tattoo anywhere else. Hurt, yeah, but not especially so. We didn't finish today, but the outline of the flame can still be seen. Use yo' imagination.
Also, it is not a 'genie' lamp- it is a nursing lamp Excerpt from Florence Nightingale's Wiki page:
During the Crimean war, Florence Nightingale gained the nickname "The Lady with the Lamp", deriving from a phrase in a report in The Times:
She is a ‘ministering angel’ without any exaggeration in these hospitals, and as her slender fo...rm glides quietly along each corridor, every poor fellow's face softens with gratitude at the sight of her. When all the medical officers have retired for the night and silence and darkness have settled down upon those miles of prostrate sick, she may be observed alone, with a little lamp in her hand, making her solitary rounds.
So yeah, the lamp has stuck around as a nursing symbol today. There's one on my graduation pin and we all lit ceramic ones with a candle stuck it it at graduation (lol)
in memory of a friend the colors have softened a lot since, he mixed the underside of the birds by hand so it would fade into a really pretty golden color. Wagner Dusi of Lab 360 in Amsterdam, Netherlands

i have six tattoos but this is my favorite, and the picture totally doesn't do it justice. i got it in santa monica, ca, two days before i worked on a WWOOF farm in the middle of the desert. the sun was just setting on the beach when my artist was finishing up, it was such a glorious day and every time i look at it i remember my time there
my next tattoo will definitely be a roo tattoo! some of you have such awesome ones, too. i will probably just get the rings in some pretty colors on my foot.
Posted this in the other thread "Bonnaroo Tattoos" but The Saturday when I return from Coachella I will finally be getting my Roo tattoo. Deciding on my foot or the back of my neck. Just getting the three rings.
found a tattooer i really like, but she is based in portland. she's coming to texas at the end of january for a convention and i emailed her about getting a spot so we will see!
^well two years in a row, never did get to see that artist at that conference. but since then i have acquired two very beautiful pieces by someone from NC and someone from cali. both were traveling to texas and i found them through instagram beforehand. there are so many people on IG i've fallen in love with and kind of want to become a "tattoourist". next person while i'm in seattle this summer is based in portland too. hoping to go down for a few days while on my trip. her style is very similar to the girl above. here are my two new ones:
this one is a memorial for my cousin patrick. it involves a funny memory with lobsters. haha
