haha...it will look shady, too...but i promise its a good piece of meat. i'm sure one of the reasons they don't put it on the menu is because they would never make money off of it at that price. its served with whatever veggie is in season, and your choice of potato.
it IS a locals place, though, but its also a brewery, so maybe you'll find a good selection of beer

Ladies and Gents, I am heading to Vegas next week and have never been there. My wife and I are celebrating 10 year anniversary. Anyone have any pointers or any cool suggestions of stuff to do, restaurants, or shows. all help would be greatly appreciated.
i apologize for my rudeness... congrats on the anniversary! I hope the trip to Vegas makes it super memorable! ;D
the wynn is nice, but i prefer the bellagio. its SO much quieter than the other casinos, which can be a welcome break. and its absolutely gorgeous. they have a seasonal flower display(i wish i'd taken a picture) where they use flowers to decorate the entire room they're in.
when you walk into the lobby and look up, the entire ceiling is filled with hand-blown glass flowers...
i also happen to win a couple hundred bucks at the blackjack tables ;D

oh and they just opened a new club at the bellagio called the bank. its a zoo. (makes the casino more of a zoo as well)

that's so awesome! i seriously could not stop looking at it...it was so gorgeous!
I like the Wynn cause there's a Ferrari dealership inside. There were so many shnazy cars out front. I got lost inside the Bellagio. It was really nice, but I wanted to leave and couldn't find my way out. So I hold some disdain for that place

Do it!..I tried to get my wife to watch Love, but she said she saw their thing on the Grammy's and said it was too dark for our time of celebrating....I said dark??? its called love! but Zumanity will have to do, its erotic, so I think it should be a good thing for celebrating.
i saw zumanity last summer.. its the only cirque show ive seen.. very very cool. and pretty funny too. but i wish it wouldve lasted longer!!
Definitely going to check out all the places you guys recommend. Would love to check out LOVE, but we already dished out 400 for zumanity we paid for our buddies tix...dont worry they are paying us back
As my Inebriated buddy walks out of the Porto, he yells out, "Dude...I love this place...bonnaroo thinks about everything...they even put beer holders next to the toilet!"
Had to break it to him that that was the urnal. Good times good times!
oh also, we ate at a lot of buffets... the best was at the Rio.
[clearly, i did a lot of eating while i was there... first i mention chocolate... now i mention buffets... haha]
we also ate breakfast the morning we were leaving at the Spice Market Buffet in Planet Hollywood. it was voted best buffet of 2007.
Yes yes and yes. My friend and I ate there (it was the Alladin then) for dinner and it was amazing. There's every kind of food you could imagine. We starved ourselves all day, then got drunk and imbibed on some tasty corn and went to feast. We still couldn't try everything we wanted. The deserts there are to die for. Man, I'm hungry all of the sudden

my dad knows a pit boss at the bellagio, and she comp'd us 4 dinner buffets there, so that was our big feast. it was more than i could have ever imagined. corncat's dream...

I love vegas -- here are some recommedations
- Love: Absolutely best show on the strip...hands down (O is next) - Zumanity is good, definitely drink heavily before you go...it will make it a bit more fun - Spend at least 1 night in downtown vegas (partying, gambling and what not) The fremont street experience is amazing. - If you're looking for free booze, find a populated area on the casino floor (out in the open where cocktail waitress walk) and put 5 bucks in a 1 or 5 cents machine...milk it until you get your drink - Cash out -, then walk around until you need another. - The last operating Sigma Derby (electronic Horse racing game) in Vegas is at MGM Grand. Go there, get 10 bucks in quarters ..play for about 1-2 hours and get some free drinks. Its fun to watch little electronic horses run around the track..and then go see the lions..they're right next to you. - if you play slots, bet the max..better yet don't play slots. - Mandalay bay has some awesome restaurants and Bars...they are pricey but I enjoyed Red Square..they have a giant statue on lenin outside missing his head... the head is in a giant bloc of Ice in the Vodka Room @ red square. - New York, New York is one of my favorite places to hang out, since you are going to Zumanity, maybe have dinner at Chin Chin Cafe..great chinese food and reasonably priced (get your drink before you go to dinner from the casino floor). There also a piano bar there and its fun for after Zumanity. ........and Now for the Biggy
Bellagio. the fountains. Nothing is more vegas than watching the fountains at night. its beautiful. no words.
Well...theres so much there.. take your time .. and bring an awesome pair of walking shoes... you will walk a lot.
some other highlights - Beer pong at Osheas - Margaritas at Margaritaville over looking the strip - Lunch at Quarks (LV Hilton)..(I'm a kinda a star trek nerd and got to drink romulan ale)

Spice Market buffet @ Aladdin rules. Best buffet in town, IMHO. Paris' buffet runs a close second... mmmm..... Bananas Foster......
Also, for something a little bit off the strip, consider going to Bootlegger's Bistro. Technically, it's on Las Vegas Blvd, but it's pretty far south of the strip. We found this place when it was a little mom & pop store off Sahara (IIRC). Since then, they've moved up in the world. The owner is related to the former lieutenant governor, Lorraine Hunt, and her family of Rat Pack-era singers and performers. Damn good Italian food, nice atmosphere (slightly more corporate in the new location, but still warm).
House of Blues in Mandalay Bay, friday night - best 80's night in town (last time I was there at least - summer 2005). While you're there, check out Rumjungle too. Great dance venue.
The Rio Hotel & Casino hosts the World Series of Poker every summer. They also have a carnival over the casino floor every hour from 4pm on. Definitely something not to be missed. Bamboleo's Mexican restaurant on the balcony is pretty decent casual food.
If you're a poker fan, check out Binions too. Not much to see, but it's still kinda obligatory if you're a fan.
For after-hours partying, Drai's is where the famous go to be seen. By day, it's the Barbary Coast's 4 star steak house. But after 2am, it turns into the place to be.
Another nice hotel for sightseeing is Green Valley Ranch (in Henderson, I believe?). Beautiful decor and pool. A few years ago, they were host to a reality show on TLC, American Casino. The most memorable part of the show was that the hotel's director died of a druq OD half-way thru the series. Lots of drama, great people.
Hopefully, most of these places will still be there. Turnover in Vegas is pretty high, tho'.

can you really just get free drinks...or do they come by once in a blue moon
I never played much at the tables, but with the slots, they don't come by that often. When they do make sure you grab em. I found my thrist to not be quenched nearly enough by the free drinks.
