Ladies and Gents, I am heading to Vegas next week and have never been there. My wife and I are celebrating 10 year anniversary. Anyone have any pointers or any cool suggestions of stuff to do, restaurants, or shows. all help would be greatly appreciated.

my gf was there last week (she has been several times) and said the mandalay bay was a great hotel, but sort of bad location at the far end of the strip.
she also loved the new cirque show "love" which is all beatles music.

i was in vegas 3 wks ago ;D uhmm... under NO circumstances, i dont care what else you do - do NOT miss LOVE - beatles cirque de solei. it was teh best thing ive ever seen in my entire life.
as far as resteraunts, and other suggestions i can tell you where i ate and stuff if your curious ;D
Do it!..I tried to get my wife to watch Love, but she said she saw their thing on the Grammy's and said it was too dark for our time of celebrating....I said dark??? its called love! but Zumanity will have to do, its erotic, so I think it should be a good thing for celebrating.

okay the part that they showe d on the grammys was like a 4 minute part - and the rest is not DARK AT ALL! i PROMISE its wonderful! i had a grin on my face the entire time my freaking FACE hurt!! please tell her form me, that it was the best thng ive ever seen and that she will be grinning iear to ear and that the grammys t hing was nothing at all hohw it is. they even changed it? its hard to explain

the LOVE show is the best on the strip...honestly
if you're looking for a cheap, but good, meal, there's this local dive place called ellis island that's just off the strip on a street called Koval. they have a restaurant in the back. they don't list it on the menu, but if you ask for the $5 steak dinner, they'll serve it to you. i know it sound sketchy, but its actually a pretty good steak(which is why they probably don't list it). my parents go every time they make a trip, and my dad wouldn't eat crappy steak.
if you're willing to spend some money on dinner, the bellagio has an AMAZING dinner buffet. we're talking fresh sushi, king crab legs, pasta made a zillion ways, prime rib, salad, multiple desserts...all made by some of the best chefs in the country. it will run you about $30/person though.
i stayed at planet hollywood when i went. there's a store in the lobby area called hollywood obsessions. you probably won't be able to afford a single thing in there, but its FILLED with memorabilia from musicians like floyd, hendrix, marley, SRV...and many actors too. its worth just taking a look at them.

it was absolutely STUNNING...the costumes, the music arrangements, and there's even a special effect that the audience gets to be a part of. i thought i was going to cry i was so stunned by the beauty of it.
i've also heard that while zumanity is erotic, its also very very weird...and not necessarily in a good way. however, that may be your thing, so yeah...

i just thought the entire storyline they had going was so cool. i'm a huge history nerd, so yeah. not to mention all the stuff they had projected on the walls and the curtains just made it even more surreal. ugh i wanna do it again!!!!! ;D ;D

If you dont care about the $$$ go to Bobby Flay's Mesa Grill in Caesar's, its soooo good, and its a really cool place too. The New York strip steak is insane good, but 45 bones is a bit spendy. The GF and I went there last year for a treat, and enjoyed every second of it. We'll def. go back again in the future.
