#4 is my favorite QB amonst the ones everyone talks about as the best ever (Marino, Elway, Montana, Bradshaw etc)...
I really loved watching him play...sad to see him go....especially after he just had his best statistical year of his career...and was one bad pass (thank you Corey Webster) away from the Super Bowl...I thought he had one more in him.
Ok not a real farve fan but it was the top news story here all day. he is a mississippi boy and he was a good qb but as this does not pertain to my Oakland Raiders i really don't care heard the raiders are bringing stabler back
This word also has a underground meaning once you break it down. Let’s take “Bonn” for example and it actually turns into the word “Bone”. We all know gays use this word to describe the action of when they are fecal fisting their Cuban cabana boy at their sex bath house parties. Now let’s look at Roo, “Roo” is short for “Kangaroo”.So put the full true message together and you get“Bone a Kangaroo

Ok, full disclosure...I'm a Dolphins fan, so obviously I was a big Marino fan, and I always compare other QB's to him. As Favre was approaching his TD record I always knew Marino had a better td/int ratio and int/pass attempt ratio, and I also assumed that Favre's was pretty bad historically. I did some research and it turns out I was wrong.
I looked at the top ten QB's for all time passing touchdowns. Among them, Favre ranked 5th in interceptions per pass attempt, so while his great number of attempts is what got him the interception record, he did only stack up marginally in that category among his peers (and was behind Marino of course!).
Any guess who had the best ratio among the top ten? Worst? Here is the list....
I've heard rumblings that the Packers repeated refusal to pursue signing Randy Moss was a factor in Favre retiring. Also hearing rumblings that factions within the Packers did not in fact want Favre back.

I heard the news late yesterday and was totally bummed. I condsider Brett farve to be the greatest QB to ever play the game. And I'm not talking about stats and numbers. I'm talking about natural leadership, true grit, determination. Also in my opinion he seemed to be the only one in any game last season that actually enjoyed what they were doing. Out of all the QB's ever, Starr, Unitas, Marino, Montana, out of all of them, I would choose Brett Farve to lead any team of mine. In my opinion there is and was not a more exciting QB to watch or listen to. I remeber growing up in Decatur, MS and listening to Southern MS games on the radio. I have always been a Farve fan. And, my father being a coach, I've always been a Packers fan. So with those two elements combined, I was in heaven. And now... nothing. Oh I'm still a Packers fan. But football just won't be the same for me next year.
Aikman doesn't have the stats though....he's like Bradshaw...lots of rings...no records...
Favre has all the records...AND...won a Championship....he's the man....
Until Peyton and/or Brady break all his records.
i'm not arguing statistics. I'm arguing his three super bowl rings
Bradshaw has FOUR...and there's no way he's the best ever...it's a combination of stats/rings...Favre is the best ever at this point by my standards (you're all welcome to have your own standards and favorites)
Maybe I'll throw myself to the dogs, but my back's not to the wall Maybe I'll lay some bricks for the man, but the days just aren't that long So if I settle back and chill will I see far enough to feel the angel's dream? I thought it was the Story of the World!

i disagree 100%..but diffrent strokes i guess.
you are in college football country, so that response is to be expected.
Yup...college football is EXACTLY what it's name implies...it's kids LEARNING to play football...pro game is the only real game.
lmao!! ;D
texas is football country...not just college football country
as for the nfl. i would much rather watch a young up-and-coming talent play the game with heart than watch some whiney b!tch of an adult complain because he didn't get that extra million added to his salary.

i certainly love me some college football.
but there are 2 things that make the nfl better, imo:
1. the completely asinine BCS system. any sport that does not decide thier champion with a playoff is, quite simply, a joke.
2. the level of play in the nfl is off the charts.
1. yes, the BCS system sucks...i have said that for years. however, the ncaa is full of STUDENTS with lives outside of the sport, trying to earn a degree
2. it is much more exciting to me to watch a great college football team with amazing young talent, than watch an nfl team full of talent all competing for attention
in the end, i just feel like college ball has more heart all around. people aren't playing for a paycheck, and half of them won't even go pro, but play their asses off simply because they love the game.

1. i would rather watch talent over heart. i can go out there and play with heart. i cant, however, go out and dominate a game like adrian peterson, etc.. to draw a music analogy...ill take jimi hedrix on his worst night over some dude who is playing his heart out at a club on his best night. i always gravitate towards the highest level of talent available.
2. if the ncaa would go to an 8-team playoff system, it would rival the nfl. its thier own dumbass fault.

1. you do realize adrian peterson was playing in the big 12, which, other than the SEC, is one of the most competitive conferences in the nation. he made for some AMAZING games at OU. (and just to brag on my alma mater, we were one of the only teams to hold him to under 100 rushing yards in his final season ). and talent is nothing without heart IMO, which the nfl grossly lacks due to the way they overpay their athletes(another discussion for another time)
2. and 8-team playoff system would screw over just as many teams as the BCS currently does
