she didn't call him out...in fact, she even added that she wasn't targeting him, and noted that she had just been madly smited recently, which she has.

It would make sense, me going out of my way everyday, every hour, smiting whenever I had karma to give and take. All because of a dispute over an iraq war that she hadnt even posted her opinion about an hour ago.

you said she thinks too much about her karma. she couldn't care less about it. she just thought it was weird that recently she's been getting smited A LOT.
ummm - apparentlynow there is an arguement about me.
Squid - it was not aimed at you - it was a general comment to anyone that felt like smiting me. Sorry if you thought it was
Koy - I am not over concerned about it - but it always is interesting to me that I cna request a reset to 0 - go to 40 in a day or so and them have someone deliberately smit me every chance they get - I already confirmed with and admin - it is 2-3 people (we think - they have different ip addresses) and they are relatively new accounts.
at any rate - other people have been much more concered about the status of my karma then I have been

She has had her karma intentionally re-adjusted SEVERAL times over the years I have been reading her posts. And she ALWAYS brings it up when it happens. She even forshadowed it in the post on this thread. And she has admitted that it bothers her.
I don't know where YOU got the notion to need to defend her. I think she'd agree with what I posted. It was not intended to be a knock on her. Simply an explanation to the squid about where she might have been coming from for the sake of letting him know it wasn't him, or so I thought.
But your rabid defense of her to the point of calling me out is questionable.
Methinks you must be on a "sensitive" streak, no ?
damn - all this arguing over lil ol me????? come one people - it's karma - move along - I told squid it was not aimed at him
the only reason I said anything about karma in my post is because whenever I post anything the least bit controversial or opposite to anyone else's opinions - I get smited for it - relentlessly - it doesn't shut me up for long

Alright. i'm outy. Apparently I'm the devil for trying to explain what I perceived happened innocently.
Meg-you have administrators looking into it, but you are not concerned ??
How did I EVER misinterpret ?
Peace in yer head
if i'd been on the boards as long as she had, and then all of a sudden was losing TONS of karma points a day for weeks, yeah, i'd probably just be curious as to what was going on. you would too, although you won't admit it now.
Meg-you have administrators looking into it, but you are not concerned ??
concerned no - curious yes - and this would be one of the reasons I steer clear of the political thread - I know this is where you are regularly active and you and I just seem to butt heads alot no matter what
sooo - post your political posts and I will go play elsewhere

i'm not really sure what you're trying to imply here, but i probably wouldn't like it either way.
and why do you care that i do defend her? i like her...i think she's a good person. what more reason do i need?
cuz you busted on me when all i tried to do was explain the situation to squid.
and i was referring to your negativity towards me for no good reason which seems to have lingered into this thread from my rodeo comments. which you never joined in the convo since you made that comment.
You have jumped to her defense for no need. and stepped on me to do it. care to explain, if this is not being sensitive ?

well for starters, i didn't even remember that you were even part of the rodeo thread. squidis was too, and i obviously have nothing against him, so me thinks its you who are a tad overly sensitive.
and you have given no explanation as to why i need a better reason to defend Meg. if i see misinformation posted about someone, i'm going to correct it. i'm sorry if that offends you.
i don't have "negativity" towards you. i simply corrected a false statement.
Sorry to bust in on your party here, but it seems that this thread (which started out as something important) has turned into a place to argue just for the sake of arguing. So if you insist on doing, how about getting back to something worth arguing over?

Five years ago today we began the invasion of Iraq. Just thought I'd recap where we stand today. Note that all numbers are confirmed numbers. Realize that these numbers represent a bare minimum.
US troop deaths - 3990 Total Coalition Deaths - 4298 Contractor Deaths - more than 1,000 (no exact figures released) Documented Iraqi Deaths - 89,760
Direct Costs: approx $500,000,000,000 Long term costs: $2,000,000,000,000
I do not mean this post as blank criticism. I just hope we all will remember this next time (and there will be a next time) a President tells you a war will be quick, cheap and easy. War is not cheap. And it is definitely never easy. Especially not for the soldiers and their families. __________________________________________________________

"It is unknowable how long that conflict will last. It could last six days, six weeks. I doubt six months." - Donald Rumsfeld, Secretary of Defense Feb. 7, 2003
“Well, the Office of Management and Budget, has come up come up with a number that's something under $50 billion for the cost. - Donald Rumsfeld, Secretary of Defense Jan. 10, 2003

"I believe demolishing Hussein's military power and liberating Iraq would be a cakewalk.” - Ken Adelman to the Washington Post Feb. 13, 2002
thanks troo for the read.. it definitely puts everything in perspective.
I was in the 9th grade when we officially started War... and I still can't believe it's gone on this long..
