After reading those coachella posts about Ron, it almost seems like they wanted to keep him around to have fun. Most of those posters seem like giant morons anyway. It's a weird angry circle-jerk over on that dark side.
If you're saying that in a comparative sense, like it won't be done here because it hasn't been done there, that doesn't really jive with years of reading things people have said about trying to separate Inforoo from the typical ethos of a message board like the Coachella forum. Seems like a good time to let that community spirit that's always brought up over here to shine through.

The coachella boards are overly confrontational. It looks like a bunch of nobodies yelling at each other out of a mix of frustration from knowing nothing about the lineup and having nobody actually paying attention to anything they say in real life. I do realize that this statement pretty much sums up the entire internet, but maybe the California sun is making them all crazy.
Is Ron banned from these boards? Are there underage posters on these boards? Are we allowing underage posters to come into direct communication with an admitted child molester?
To be clear, I don't think having sex with underage prostitutes technically makes you a child "molester," but I'm not a cop.

My dealing with Ron or anybody else on this board are...on this board, unless I choose that to be different. If they behave in a respectful way here I have no problem with them. Especially things they have done in the past. If they offer it up I may choose to voice my opinion about it and may choose to not interact with them outside this forum. But, I will not take any opportunity to make comments and be a jerk whenever I get the chance. That is just me though, I can make separate my interaction on this board from real life. It gives me no satisfaction to degrade, admonish, or make rude comments to anybody. Hopefully the ones that it does give satisfaction to will get bored with it or Ron will get tired of it and choose to stay away. Not saying he has to do do that. I will respond to Ron in a respectful way in the course of conversation on topics in this forum if that situation arrises. But again, that is just me.

Clever but not correct. My post was not degrading to anyone. I have no problem with anybody that voiced their opinion on this or any other matter. But keeping it going and continuing to make posts that are no longer an opinion but only meant to make fun and be snarky is what I do not see a point in.

Today is the first day, that I am aware of, that there has been a call for Ron's ban. And it was brought on by a thread started by a new account poster. Prior to this, it has been confined to jokes about the situation. I said that I was open to a civil discussion about the matter. I still am.
We don't ban duplicate account posters. We ask that they pick one account, and stick with it, and get rid of the other one.
As far as the Bigg Capp Dogg, this is how I see it. We as Mods never sanctioned that account. You asked, then made the account. I assume you took our silence as agreement. We ignored it. But it went too far, as a lot of fun things do. So we asked you to stop. You didn't. So we banned that account. We are trying to maintain a good relationship with AC/Superfly. That is hard to do when you openly mock the man in charge. As they have said, they read this board.
We as mods are not perfect, as we have pointed out to us on a regular basis. But we are doing the best we can with a situation that we have never dealt with before.
Anyone else that would like jump into this big steaming pile of mess and weigh in, please do so. I would appreciate hearing some other opinions.

I really have a hard time imagining AC getting upset with an outlandish parody account. If anyone on this board was tricked into believing Bonnaroo was run by a ruthless capitalist who hates his customers, I'd love to hear it.

In my past I have done things that would have brought felony charges. I was not caught, I faced no punishment. I am not exactly proud of my past life but I am not exactly repentant either. And I certainly would not be to people on the internet I have never met, if I was dumb enough to give those accounts on a message board. Do you want to ban me now?
I have friends from High School that did some horrible things all those years ago. Some served lengthy jail terms. For the past 15-20 years they have turned themselves into pretty good people. If they would have continued on that path I would not have remained friends, but they did not. Nor did I.
Having this knowledge does change things. Since there is a history, if Ron would contact a young woman on here or make an inappropriate comment or advocate for underage prostitution I would not hesitate to ban him. I have not seen any of that behavior on here.
Is Ron an open advocate for having sex with underage prostitutes? Has he done it since the initial incident? I believe that makes a difference. I understand he is not repentant. At least to you guys. I am sure I would not be either, no matter how I truly felt about it, if I was being mauled.

Look, we are not advocating or condoning what he did. We are not thinking about letting him move into a commune to live in close quarters with our family and loved ones. This is a message board. I feel like, being a message board, he poses no threat to any underage girls on here (If he is actually a threat, in any way). He has actually caused less trouble than a lot of others around here, excluding this horrible detestable revelation from the past.
