It would be great to have a greatful dead hour with video and live show recordings maybe from Dicks Pics. Just to hear Jerry pumped out of that fantastic sound system would be a moment. Video would be 2nd to the live audio. See you all in 1 day 2 hours and 56 minutes... Atl
You don't want any obvious talk of druqks on here for various reasons. I think one of them is to limit the association between the music festival we all love and illegal activities.
Although I don't enjoy censorship, I'm wondering if there should also be a voluntary ban on overt descriptions of VIP security? I mean, it's not like Superfly advertises it on thier site - but I doubt they want it promoted (or else it might change). Sticking with nebulous phrases like "less of a hassle" or "easier to navigate" might be better. (?)
I suppose it doesn't affect as many people since most go GA, but still...

the search function isn't working for me... it has been previous to this weekend... i was looking for the thread on the cornbread/cheese vendor thingys (stars w/a p-something)... random, i know
You're looking for "arepas." I just used the search function for something else and it seems to be working. Look under The What Stage.
I am noticing that alot of people who did GA camping last year were able to get in earlier than VIP campers (meaning Wednesday night or early Thursday morning). I would hope that since I'm shelling out more than $1,200 for tix I would at least be able to get set up at camp as early as non-VIP campers.

I was wondering if there was anyway to possibly group all of the past years bulletins together in their own stage or what not I'm new at this but I'm noticing you have to pay really close attention to the dates of the posts.
Sticky threads usually fall under 3 catagories: 1) It doesn't get new posts that often, but it should be up top so it can be easily found(ex: Boomerang's bonnaroo FAQ) 2) It does get posted to often, but we want it to be easily seen(ex: Led Zep Rumor Thread) 3) Its just been around so darn long that it was rewarded with a sticky(ex: Sex at Bonnaroo)
As new stickies arrive, old ones will eventually be taken out.. just depends on the thread and its informational value
I'm wondering if any progress has been made on the "Posts Since Your Last Visit" suggestion. It would work similarly to the "Last 20 Posts" feature, but it would provide a list of every post since your last login (I know...duh!).

hi im an inforoo vet.....i have a suggestion. there are some people who are in need of "special arrangements". there is a current post for those with these needs. i was wondering if there would be a way to keep that thread at the top as i would want them to be able to find that post. a lot of persons with special needs are hesitatant to come forward. roo is very responsible but there are persons who have "invisible" issues who might need other information. i realize this would change the format or something but i was just wondering if it could stay in view somehow.
if you have any further questions please contact me...however i assure you...this maybe more of an issue than you can see "above ground"
As far as the first request, still haven't seen any pre-boxed-modifications we could make to do it.. we'll keep looking though.
As for the second, howabout a bonnaroo schedule-looking-page with the inforoo meetups in there as well?
that would be cool can it be done?
i know people will eventually assemble all the random events into one central message, but it would be slicker to have some schedule that can easily be modified...

i'm not sure what can and can't be done as far as websites, as i'm more or less illiterate to this kind of stuff
anyway...on another site i post on, they added a "watch list". on section was threads that i personally had started, another was threads i'd responded to, and another was threads i chose to watch by clicking an icon. when i go to the watch list page, it lists all the threads in their various sections, and tells you how many replies there are(if there any new replies) and who made the last one.
it just makes it handy to see where you've been. being a post whore myself, i can't always remember threads i've been to
Please sticky the Happy Birthday thread. I can't find it by searching and don't want to look through pages of posts to find it.
I think this is more worthy of a sticky than 3 word game or song title game, which are only there to boost post count. The BD thread is actually meaningful. IMHO.

Since you own the domain inforoo.org, you should develop a full blown website, with the proboards message board being just a section of the site.
There's so much valuable information here, but a lot of it is hard to access, especially if it's buried in a 2000 post thread, or older than a year. The proboards search function is kinda iffy at best.
When there's a really good thread you can adapt that information into permanent articles or whatever.
I think the bonnaroo.com site really screws the pooch by deleting past year's festival information. People are interested in past year's info too. You could build a wiki, have a true photo gallery, a bonnaroo artist legal downloads section, maps, schedules, artist updates, a news update section, etc, etc.
I don't know what kind of revenue sharing proboards does, but on your own site you can throw up your own adsense blocks and easily pay your hosting costs.

I've found it more effective to use google to search proboards than to use proboards to search proboards.

I've never found ANYTHING using the search box, even when i already know where it is Google does lead here a lot though, right from my first finding the place almost 2 years ago
