Okay, question for the mods. Last year the board crashed for a while when the lineup was being posted. is there anyway to prepare for that this year? If not we have the inforoo facebook fansite to meet up.
That event was due to the fire at the building where proboards houses the servers. It wasnt a traffic issue.
Proboard has also made improvements to the board, so the board should withstand the traffic this year.
I am kind of thinking that as well, it is really not much higher than the previous which was lineup night from last year. I have a feeling a lot of people are gonna be online tonight curious about Phish.

I have noticed well over a hundred people including guests looking in the troo lounge a lot recently. It is exciting I am curious how well proboards will handle the load, are there any other huge boards on our server that you know of?

i dunno for some reason i feel like tension was higher last night with the LZ rumors..phish seems like a lock and not so much of a shock. itll be interesting to see if the higher count happens tonight as far as ppl logged in

This is totally random, but something that has been bothering me for a while . . .
I don't really think the "Now Playing" thread belongs in the Troo Music Lounge. Am I wrong about this? I know that it has been there for several years now, but it seems like it belongs in The Other Tent or the Which Stage.
The only reason I am bothering to comment on it is because the thread has been stickied to the front page of the most active sub-board on inforoo. Perhaps we could move it to free up some more room?
We had moved it when we made The What Stage, but it didn't take to well. It is also one of those threads that has been around since the first year the board was created. I know it sticks out like a sore thumb, but for the time being it will stay.
Considering the fact that none of the other main forums are really music specific, I'd say it's in the right spot. I realize it can go "off topic," in the sense that non-Roo related material is discussed, but it's esentially a breeding ground for much of the musical curiousity on the board. Hell, it often spurs listening trends and lineup suggestions.
Also, like Jay said, it has been in that location for about five years. Why fu*k with it now?
