I think Coachella/APW should take some pointers from Sasquatch as far pricing tickets. I persoanlly think that the the lineup is little better than APW for the exception of Radiohead of course.
that, my friends..is what they call a BIG "OF COURSE".
exactly.. APW prices work for me b/c i know that a ticket to MSG for a radiohead show would be 89bucks alone. if not more

i hear that..but im worried about set length at APW..im probably going with the sat day pass..i hope they get at least 2 hrs..i cant see them getting much more than that with an 11pm curfew.
I'm tempted to go and am kicking around the idea of taking an RV with some friends who went last year. Is it safe to assume FLips will be headlining one of those nights?

I have never been to the festival and don't know what the setup is. Looking at the lineup I think its safe to say that REM and The Cure will be headlining. Flips are confirmed doing their UFO show (which if you have not seen it, itis worth the price of admission alone) so that means they are definitely playing after the sun goes down. Its a 3 night festival right? If so its safe to say they are headlining.

this may be a silly question.... but, im looking at maybe flying in for the weekend and am trying to make sure of the scheduling details....
im assuming this is like roo and coachella, where i really need to fly out the day AFTER the festival, or ill miss the sun night headliners? like, could i schedule a redeye flight and leave the gordge at like 9:30? or would i miss some stuff....
Yes, 1077 theend has said that the Flaming Lips are closing out the show. As for flying in and out, where are you flying into? I think there might be a small airport in Wenatchee, but my guess is the cheapest is flying into Seatac (2 and half - 3 hours from the gorge) if that is the case to get there in time for the gates to open on Saturday you would need to fly in around 8am, which would be an early flight from anywhere and I would guess that the Flaming Lips will end around midnight (most years end between 11 and midnight, but midnight more often, also if there is a delay then it will be later) in short leaving Tuesday makes more sense, although keep in mind the three hour drive back and being at the airport 1 and a half hours early (which is no joke at Seatac). I hope that helps......

yeah, im gonna fly in the night before, but will have to miss work on that tuesday to travel you think that i would be able to bum rides off people in and out of the festival? is the vibe as good as roo? -L
Honestly I've never been to Bonnaroo, oddly enough I come on here for Sasquatch! info, but I would say it would not be a stretch to be able to get a ride from someone back to the airport, people are usually pretty cool. To the festival would require some coordination. Check out the proboards for sasquatch, there seems to be some discussion about coordinating rides from the airport there. You can check out my Sasquatch! blog where there are a lot of linked sites that have people talking about Sasquatch! and some about connecting rides, that address is www.sasquatchmusicfestival.blogspot.com.
heatheroo! You don't need friends to go to Sasquatch! You'll meet plenty there! Come hang out with me and the roo/squatch '08 posse!! We'll be flying in from Oregon for Roo and we'll gladly welcome you and any other traveler to the sweetness that is the Gorge! Party in our NW yard!
The reason I need friends to come is to split gas! I don't know how I would fly because I'm not old enough to rent a car once I get there! Do they have any shuttles from airports or anything?
If only I were able to get into them as much as most of you diehards...
This is the first festival they have been "offically" confirmed. Maybe now the floodgate has opened and get the announcment for Rothbury and Bonnaroo like many of us have been waiting for.
I hope so, someone in the Mars Volta thread said they had knew someone in the "higher up" saying that the Mars Volta declined Bonnaroo last minute. I hope they were wrong. I want my Mars Volta.

hmmm...point taken. I doubt there's a shuttle the Gorge is in the middle of nowhere....that's sad.
Oh what luck! I have to be in Seattle the Thu/Fri/Sat of this weekend on business. As long as I can wrap up early enough on Saturday, I am hell-fire-and-damnation hauling balls out there in the rental car with whatever gear I can pack onto the plane. One suitcase of suits & ties, one suitcase of festi clothes and tent! Hell, I might even blow off all of Saturday's work if I can get away with it!
